(Console) - North American Style Equipment/Map Discussion

Post by chedly_farms »

This is a console discussion thread so that we eliminate any confusion off the bat.

I just wanted to start an "go to" thread concerning North American style equipment and Maps. I don't do facebook and other social media sites to keep up to date with all the modders projects, so I felt people could ask about any info here or discuss things they'd like to see in the game and be a discussion about North American Style farming.

With that said, I want to thank a lot of modders for the effort they have put in to bring us some cool NA styled equipment.
Custom Modding - John Deere 9RT (Stephan Beran, RAFAZR), 8R, etc.,.
Steenkamp Modding - Case Quadtrack
Gery Modding - CaseIH Disc
Dales_farmer - 2wd New Holland
BlackSheep Modding - 5th Wheel Pack, MF Skidder, Big Brute, etc.,.
Dorset - Curved Steel Sheds
Ahran Modding - Fendt 1000 (Challenger option)
Mappers Paradise - Welker Farms
North Modding Company - Various John Deere Logging equipment
Redkeinstus/RitchiF New Woodshire
DJB - Great Plains YP-4025A Planter
epideath - Pacific Northwest

There are modders that I'm missing, give 'em shout outs and I'll add them here.

So I guess with Lone Oak on the horizon, me personally, am ready to start an American style map. And I am curious, if anyone has heard of gravity wagons being made and possibly ported over to console? Having a farm with three or four in the chilling in some high weeds and using a couple would be awesome.

I guess a couple of things on a wishlist, would be a John Deere MoCo or John Deere small baler with a kicker and wagon.

Thanks. :)

I know that Giants probably won't make a gravity wagon, but I love to read the responses.

These all are good starting points and the American style semi truck by giants which was a very nice addition to the game so we cant forget about the creatures of the game.

A hook truck based on the Lizard Warrior would give a bunch of truck options that right now are only available with a Man TGS. The Warrior is a better match for US trucks. Someone made a heavy semi hook truck recently, but a sleeper isn’t quite right for the role.

I agree. I don't mind the hook in place of a cable, but very rarely is there a roll-off truck with a sleeper cab.

I would love some gravity wagons on an American style map as well! Maybe somehow incorporating augers into the game!

I think augers are possible, given it pretty much the same mechanic as the in game belts. So I can't see a need for new scripting.

To start I know this is a console thread. There is an auger available for PC, I haven't used it yet so can't speak to it's operation, but I feel you are correct. I don't believe there was any scripting done at all. In my eyes there is no reason something similar couldn't be brought to console.
