Only noticed the slots on fs17 once on my test map. On fs19 the slots are way more limiting. The buff they did to the graphics of fs19 and left optimisation out killed the console people with slots. If they want to make a big hit on fs21 i fear a new engine or a big update to the old engine is really needed.

"The engine" has little to do with it. It's textures in RAM which is the issue, and as it's a physical limitation of the current generation of consoles there's no obvious solution.

Six years (since the release of current gen consoles) is a lifetime in the tech industry.

They upped the graphics engine in fs19 tadaa crazy slot problems start to appear. In fs17 the slots were never an issue with a not updated graphic engine. But nothing else except the graphic engine got updated on fs19. Off course consoles are outdated and still so many big franchises make bigger games than farm sim does. So my guess its an engine optimized for the pc player and just carried over to consoles. You can always blame the hardware from consoles or you can work with it and around it to eliminate problems. And that equals a better game for console players. I can say i bought fs19 for the great mod support. If it didn’t have mod support i sure would not pay 70€ for it on release.

What a nice set of mods that came again today. Including the Fendt 900 Favorit. It's a shame, that the price on this and the 800 couldn't be more like FS17. Those prices made it a good starting tractor. Either way though, nice conversions Smety, very much appreciated.

New Holland T7 came out today. it has the blue power option for XBox1.

I really hope they get the Seasons update out in the next two weeks. The beta versions on their site only work about 50% of the time and I really want canola reverted to an oil seed so I don't have to plow so much and can still do crop rotation.

Possibly, i still doubt they will be released on PC before console, i would figure they will hold them as “passed” until they pass for console as well
