How popular is FS19? - Steam stats

How many people will keep the eye on https://steamcharts.com ?
There are good statistics how much some games are played, maybe it is not the best
way to show how popular is FS series, since there are also Giants and Console version of this game,
but important is, that other rival games are also presented there.

Here is info about FS19, it always have been in Top100 most played steam games since launch.

Seems there was huge numbers of players when the game launched, then thee was a drop inside few
months, lot of people left and then there was some stability about the player numbers and then the number went
up again, after SEASONS was launched and Platinum DLC announced! - first there was hype, then disappointment,
then stability and now numbers are increasing. So where are these players coming from? FS17? Let's take a look...

Player numbers seems very stable, but there are few big drops, first after FS19 was launched, the player numbers
dropped 2x times and then other drop after FS19 got fixed, but still no drop after Seasons was launched for FS19.
So might be another drop ahead?


Now let's see how many players played farming games last month in steam, this is average number of players of
last 30 days (taken from 5.09.2019)

FS19 - 9279 players
FS17 - 1721 players
FS15 - 221 players
FS13 - 48 players
FS11 - 5 players

NB! I did not list the other games, since the numbers were below 1!

Conclusion: FS19 has more players in steam than all the other farming games together. Also FS series has huge lead, other's
need to work hard to catch up!

Yes, actually it is last 30 days. So this means FS19 hours played is 5 times more.

Also number of average players in last 30 days means, how many players was inside the game same time, this means
same time opened the game.

Yes, also console players and non-legal copy players, they cannot be listed.

Another data point that can measure how many players on all platforms that are active is to look at downloads for ModHub mods. Now, that number is not public to my knowledge but I can tell you that my mod (the Case IH Puma with tracks) has been downloaded 152000 times since it was released on August 30th (less than a week ago).

It is fair to assume that that number of downloads represents mainly unique downloads from PS4, Xbox, PC and Mac. It is also fair to assume that it does in no way represent how many active players FS19 has in general, but 152000 is a bit more fair than the Steam numbers.

I've logged 1271 hours in FS19 since release. Can't mow my real grass from all the rain, so I'm mowing the pixel grass.

the fact that I switched to pc roughly half way through the life span of fs17 should be noted but my hours on fs19 have already exceeded my time in fs17 on pc and by the time November rolls around I will be closer to the numbers I played 17 on both console and pc through out its entirety.. I loved 17.. but there is something about 19.. it hits many areas where I was left wanting in fs17 and I love it.. I farm for at least 2 hours every single day.. also I have the other farming games on pc (I have professional farmer on console) and my numbers from fs 19 and 17 both exceed any hours accumulated on those other games combined although there r many hours missing from farmers dynasty because originally I had to buy the game from the publishers site because of that nonsense that happened after they released so a huge number of hours spent playing that one cannot be tracked and would easily represent 100s of hours of hours of game time

Started the FS series with fs15 never created a PlayStation account or even connected the system to the internet as far as that goes till fs17 came out. Since then according to my weekly PlayStation update I’ve logged 3817 hours and can confidently say 95% of those hours are with the Fs series rarely touch any other game. My wife calls it an addiction! And she is right! I should check on her once in awhile! Lol!

Well I’m embarrassed to say that this week I have just hit 3017 hrs played on FS19 since it’s launch and still no signs of it getting old, if that’s not good value for money I don’t know what is!!

Not doubting you but are you sure that's right? That figure is over 10 hours per day every single day since launch?
