Courseplay and 9RX

Post by mpochylko »

I apologize if this has been brought up before.

Is anyone else having issues with the CM John Deere 9RX turning at the end of the field with Courseplay?

My tractor starts a turn, stops, then turns the opposite way and drive for a few feet, then turn the correct way and drives for a bit. Eventually the machine just starts turning in a circle.

Any ideas? I've adjusted the turning radius, speed of the turn, and headrows.

I don't have any experience with the 9rx but I've noticed same thing happens with the in game articulated tractors when I have the 3 point trailer from old big bud pack and a tool that has more than one pivot point.

I ran into this. Actually when CP first was released several people reported bugs with almost every CM and SIID mod. I have used different 9rx mods (I swear there must be a bakers dozen released at this point) with mixed results.

I believe there is a fix for this posted on the Courseplay GitHub. It’s a problem with the 9RX and Custom Modding Vehicles in general with some incorrect information within the vehicles xml file to do with steering configuration. If you know how to use Notepad and can edit an xml file you can follow the instructions on how to fix the 9RX for yourself and other Custom Modding Tractors that suffer the same issue.

Do you have a link? I did try to fix this through a solution on github which basically copied the turning behaviour of the in game Case 4WD.

Didn't work though, sadly.

Think a fix was posted in the "Turning Choppy" thread on the Courseplay GitHub found here: https://github.com/Courseplay/courseplay/issues/4258
