Lone Oak Machinery/Sheds

Just a quick question/comment.......what equipment do you all use on Lone Oak? I see some large fields, which require bigger equipment (I love a good excuse to rock the Fendt 1000 Vario). However, none of the sheds and barns to store the equipment on the farm can fit my Brednar cultivator, or the large Stara seeder.

I love the way the farm looks, surrounded by meadows and the pond on the backside. I don't wanna mess with any of that. How does everyone else tend to Lone Oak? Thanks all!

I made this my case farm, so I have a steiger, the big case combine, the case disc harrow, mod great plains planter, Brent grain cart, etc, so mostly medium to large equipment, with rom to grow larger. I'm surprised the cultivator and stara didn't fit in the large shed. I found a spot for everything I have used. I'm going to plow a lot of fields together to make them bigger.

I'm going big on this one. Plan on owning most of the land on the map. So I'm going 100% Case IH. Whatever doesn't fit in the shed will either get parked outside or I'll put up a bigger shed.

I lease everything anyway so I don't care if it's parked inside or not.

I put up another shop next to the existing one for some of the larger items, but I usually keep my air seeder and cultivators outside anyway. I'm a big fan of the lone oak map. I'm using 2 semis with pacesetter trailers, the Brent Avalanche grain cart, 1 JD S790 with the 45' header and a the Capello 16 row corn header, Steiger 580, JD 8345RT, JD 8320R, 84' flexicoil cultivator, 84' Seed Hawk air seeder, 24 row great plains planter, the large fertilizer spreader, and the Hardi Rubicon Sprayer.

I start with everything leased so I can spend my extra cash on land expansion to use larger cash flows early in the game. And you get a pretty big loan amount starting on Lone Oak so you can begin with a fairly large operation.

Maybe it's my driving but I have a real hard time with the Case 9240 and header in tow getting in the building  . I'll break down and build a big machinery shed lol. Love the map layout, reminds me of some Missouri Farms.

I actually started my farm at the pig farm, and have went with all the US Jd mods, 2 great plains modded planters, 2 modded t560s, and other assorted standard equipment (fert, herb, lime, semi and grain cart). If you start in new farmer and sell everything (including land) you end up with some 3 mil dollars to start up with

on console

The 9240 will just fit nicely between the silo and the back sheds, that’s where I keep my header then drive the machine into the big shed. Just can’t reverse those headers lol

Thanks again all. Really like this map, torn between this and Pacific Southwest for my seasons farm. I built my farm on PS, but I see you can't "customize" LO much. After touring LO a bit I see you don't really need to customize, if I would have organized better I could fit 98% of my equipment indoors. (I only built one shed.) Being modeled after a realistic farm makes it a lot more entertaining for sure, and enough square fields because I hire workers to do the fields while I mow, make bales, and tend to the animals.

I really loved driving around this map. It’s probably the most realistic and visually interesting US map right now, but I just can’t play on it, and that is really frustrating. Two things 1) I hate running the house maze to get to the sleep trigger. Just put it on the porch. 2) I just don’t like maps where I can’t build my own yard. I get that it is based on a real farm, but If there was an option to start in a blank yard and use another farmhouse this would be the best map in the game. As it is I am sticking with Pacific Northwest.

Where do you store hay and straw bales on Lone Oak?
Do you know any functional bale shed mod with snow mask for Seasons?

Ps. Do you know if 'MF Sheds' will be updated to Seasons?

You can get the large stara seed in the main barn just need to drive in the right angle is all.
