I like the map and haven't run into many issues, yes placing things is a pain but what you have to start with is a great set up. When it comes to machinery size I pick stuff to suit the map not a fault of the map if I choose the wrong stuff. If I want to use bigger equipment then I play a more open style of map..

It just turns the map into yet another in a slew of "farm my way" FS19 maps when FS19 is setup to support "farm your way" maps that almost no one is supporting. I'd argue that if I want to play a "farm my way" map, there are others that are better than Geiselberg. I don't really have an issue with the shop as much as I do with the buried trees and large number of fixed objects that are completely in the way that cannot be removed.

I hate the hustle it is to place a powerwasher or a simple workshop.

How Giants set up a game is up to them, how a mapper or mod maker choose to do things is up to them. I'm guessing they create things how they want them to be as if they didn't they'd get less enjoyment from what they create and possibly stop doing so.
Personally I've not done build your own farm as I much prefer a well built yard and even with the place anywhere mod I don't think it's yet possible. I. Guessing how I choose to play is influenced by my location I spend a lot of time on farms with my work and the uk maps we have are so close to how it is in many places I visit. At the end of the day we all choose to play in a style we enjoy there is no right or wrong way.

I started playing this map today. Right away noticed the slots were way too high so I gave it a go on farm manager. Slots are still high but I can manage 700.
I bought the starting farm but can't place anything anywhere on the on the farm except in the back fields. Everywhere else it says, 'this object collides with an object' when nothing is there.
I guess I can start over and try to build my own farm somewhere else. It's a shame. This is a nice map.
