Lone Oak animal question

Post by dunnjob » Fri Oct 04, 2019 5:15 pm

I downloaded Lone Oak the other night and had a look around. It is stunning to say the least. But I have looked and haven't been able to find the answer to this:

How many sheep, pigs, cows, and chickens can you have in the animal pens you start the map with?

XB1 if that makes a difference.

Has anybody tested how many animals the pens hold yet? Just out of curiosity.
All animals have max 500
Horses are 8 max

I like maps with large animal capacities, looking forward to 500+ modded pens for console

Not possible as this needs an external script as of now.

Not sure I buy that statement, we already have modded animal pens that have capacities that don't match the standard in game values.

511 animals is the max current number for pens. Beyond that you need a very tiny script (1 line) included in either the map or the pen itself.
And as this is not allowed on consoles, max number of animals per pen will stay at 511 on consoles.

Sure for PC you can get up to 4096 animals per pen.

511 Animals is what the game engine by default can support in Animal Pens (Excluding Horses which are always max 16), however most mod authors/map authors tend to round to even numbers so 500 is the maximum you'll see in most animal pens.

In the Modding Thread there is a post which gives a small script you can add into your maps on PC and Animal Pen Mods which will let you then use animal pens with more then 500/511 Animals. This however won't work for console users as the script even though it's made and posted by a Giants Staff Member is not allowed on the consoles, due to the script restrictions posed by Sony and Microsoft.
