John Deere 8R Mod Curiosity

Post by adammac5858 »

I am sitting here fixin to plow a field with my JD 8400 R Mod (Love the 1100/45R46 wheel setup!!). I hold LB to unfold the plow and notice that the right analog does something as well. When I hold it down, the entire front of the tractor lowers, and it can be raised back up. I was curious on the real life application of this, so I can mimic it on my virtual farm, of course! :biggrin2:

I was looking at the john Deere website and I think it may be automatically adjusted (Personally I lift mine all the way up)

It's called ILS (independent link suspension) provides a nicer ride. It can be set for automatic or can manually be controlled. Helps compensate for different loads or conditions

Awesome. Thanks for the link and info everyone! I like mine lifted all the way up also, though lowered it looks like it is trying to "power through" I guess I could say. Looks bad ass.

If actually had wheel slippage with the floater tires, with the front end lowered pulling a heavy load. I raised the front and got traction.

Personally I think lowering it all the way looks the best. Makes it look super aggressive like a f1 car
