So if you make a model of something that isent yours, and try the best to make it accurate, someone else can do the same and then the first who made the model own b the rights to it? Atleast on modhub..

This is stupid....
If you make a model that model is yours because you made it. If you remake a model from another modder without that modder agreeing with it thats copyright doesn’t matter if its better or not you still used somebody’s model. Thats my thought on it. Correct me if i’m wrong.

I hope giants knows it why they removed it. And if it is decals they can remove a lot off mods off copyrighting. Heck no modder can put a copyright claim on a color or a fond.
You're right, no one can copyright the color or the font, but there's also using a decal somebody already made or making your own using the same color and font. I'm not implying that they used someone else's, just clarifying what the decal issue could be.
That’s being picky my opinion. Dont know how much time goes into making a decal. And they can just pick that decal from another challenger machine like the challenger mt700 series even has a similar hood to the 1000 series

Picky or not, if somebody else made it, its their work. Thats what all this "stolen mod" stuff is about, people using other peoples parts, scripts, decals, whatever, without permission or giving due credit. Again, Im not saying thats what Steenkamp did, Im just speaking in general.

And Crash, you could make the exact same model tractor, truck implement, as somebody else , the issue is you cant take the work somebody else already did and use it in your model without their permission. As long as everything is your own work then that is YOUR model and you have the rights to it.

You can actually sue someone if they are using a font style in which you have trademarked it or a word. It's not uncommon than u think

I am not a modder, but how can someone claim that a decal that is either using the Fendt name or Challenger name is theirs? I would think the decal actually belongs to the company since it is their name. It does appear the decals are quite close or exact to what is on the actual tractors.

No because the manufacturer didn't make the mod nor giants. Its complicated how in depth copyright laws and t&c's are.

Because all these models are made up of "parts". Each part has to be made in a modeling program. Then all the parts are assembled to make the model. The decal isnt just text written on the model, its an actual part that is made and then applied to the model. Just like in real life, if you were remodeling a tractor and needed new lettering, you wouldnt paint the numbers on, you would order a decal from the dealer and stick it on.

Is there a type of "signature" for each model? How is one determined to be someone else's?

Just out of curiosity, has any mod removed from modhub for similar reasons ever been re-instated. This was probably one of the tractor mods I was most looking forward to from even before FS19 was released. I just wish I knew a bit more about what the current situation is and had some idea about the probability of the mod's return.

I would love for giants to actually comment on the matter. They have been MIA in this forum except for the bug reports on claas and Chris updating the testing list.

Giants shouldn't have to comment on this, this whole issue has nothing to do with the public, same as CMs 'issue'.
The most annoying part about these things is the modders going public and the 'community' going crazy about a perceived slight without any real info.

Giants could comment, just like any police report. They always talk to the media. Giants could give an update, like we are still looking into it. This is the reason...
