I'm on Lone Oak about 60 hours in. Using 2 Lizard Warrior semis with Pacesetters, a Steiger 470 Quadtrac for the grain cart and planter, Case-IH 8230 US Version with 36" tracks, Steiger 580 quadtrac for the air seeder and field cultivator, a magnum 250 with rear tracks for fertilizer/lime. Then a Hardi Rubicon Sprayer.

How do you typically run your harvest operation? I haven't figured out a good way to use 3 combines. Seems like I work fastest with 2. Tried 3 and it seemed like I always had one sitting.

Depends on the crop, I do corn, soybeans and some wheat for straw.

In soybeans I take off end rows then start 2 combines side by side ~ 1/3 the way across the field, once they are about half way I start the third combine on the outside 2/3 of the field. I unload all combines on one end of the field starting with the pair “side by side” then catching the 3rd machine running on the outside and then dump into trucks. My combines never stop and I usually have enough time to take a full truck to dump.

I have also done 3 combines cutting in a square pattern and this works well for really large fields.. I take control of each machine as it approaches the end and round the corner... catch grain on the straight aways starting with the last combine and progressing forward. This harvest method is very typical of multi combine operations in small grains US and Canada

Corn I run 2 with 16row heads and either park the 3rd or have it running in wheat by itself. My wheat fields are usually small and it that machine stops for a short time it’s not a big deal.

I'm playing on Woodshire on Hard. Built my farm over by where the horse stable is right across the bridge from the store.

At the store I have the New Holland LM7.42 telehandler with forks, a 3 point adapter and a header adapter so that I can load anything I need to on my trailer which I pull with my Ford F250 Superduty 6.7 Powerstroke.

For Tractors I have:
JD 5085M which does spraying and front loader duties
JD 6155M as my biggest tractor right now
Ford 8340 Powerstar SLE

Combine I have the JD T560i with the 625X and 608C heads

I raise horses, chickens and farm a few fields.

Here's a short tour of my farm while getting Jimbo some exercise:

The generic building by the road will eventually be replaced with a new shop. Paying down the loan for right now (why there is less than $10k in the bank).

I'm at Lone Oak Farm + Seasons
I turned 16 on the farm, I do not remember how many hours played on this map.
hard difficulty

2 corrals for milk production
1 corral where I put the calves;

  Fiat 1300DT (Calf Care Use);
  JD 8400 1993 (mod, miscellaneous services);
  Challenger Vario 1050 (soil work and planting);
  Challenger Vario 1042 with in-line tires (ground work and spraying);
  'Case Maxxum' 145 with charger (takes care of cows feeding);
  NH FR 780;
  MA TGS 18,500;
  Dodge pickup (mod)

  I hope to get some good money with some trees, I don't have a harvester yet and I want to retire the JD 8400 and the Fiat DT.

I'm on Oakfield doing about 80 acres of cereals and 2 million L of grass silage per year and still expanding.
I am currently running:

TRACTORS

JD 6250R (used for heavier work e.g. drilling, pulling forage wagon and running triple mowers).
JCB 4220 (used for road work and lighter work e.g. spraying).
JD 6030 (used for loader work around yard and occasionally raking ect.).

OTHER

Articulated Manitou Telehandler (unsure of official model name!)
Claas Lexion 760 combine.

Looking to get a Claas Axion or JD 7R for the next season as well as a Claas scorpion.

On Oakfield (waiting for growers farm or greenwich cough cough testers) fairly large farm but family run so not many tractors each has there own job, kinda RP off my own family farm minus some small details it’s the same setup we have irl

JD7310R for the big jobs, tillage work, drilling, ploughing.
Fendt 724 and Deutz 7250 for everything else, spreading, tanking, baling, loading wagon, carting.
New Holland T6 2wd (ours is an older style 4WD model but have to have a new one and the animated doors and windows are a must for me for the immersion) for lighter jobs, pulls the weeder, topping the sheep and cow pastures, spraying, pulls the header trailer.
Bonus back up machine is a Steyr cvt (I know it has slight issues and the model looks like it’s from fs13 but you just can’t beat that meaty straight pipe sound
Combine: Claas tucano (taking on more ground for arable so will probably get traded in for a Lexion or a Fendt ideal)
Forager: Jaguar 960
Zetor 12045 (pulls the diet feeder)
Can’t remember the model number but the small 2WD fiat for yard scraping and pulling the water trailer
JD gator as a run around and collecting egg boxes from the chickens.

I’ve hammered the slot count on Xbox but I’m finally happy with the setup and got everything feeling just right (can’t explain but you know what I mean when something just “looks right”)
If it’s not blue then it just won’t do!

Fendt 700 Series x 2 for Feeding Watering Animals
Fendt 1050 for Ploughing, Cultivating, Seeding and Trailer Hauling

On Felsbrunn I am running:

John Deere S790 harvester, and largest header
John Deere 8370RT tractor, and
John Deere 6350R tractor.
Condor 15001 seeder
Bredal K165 for herbicide
Bredal K105 for fertilizer

And I just bought the Krone mower. I don't remember the name of the trailer, but it is the largest one you can get (in game, no mods) that does not require the semi truck, or a dolly to tow.

On the Ravenport map, I sold everything in the lower corner of the map (buildings, fields, equipment) and bought field 6 in the middle of the map. I recently bought field 12 and merged then together. I am currently running:
Ideal T9 with MF livery, and black header
Ideal T8 with Fendt livery and black header (which I bought after the merger)
Challenger Stealth tractor,
John Deere 6250R tractor.
Fiat 1300DT tractor which I use for spraying herbicide/fertilizer. Love that tractor but it is S-L-O-W
Condor 15001 seeder
Truck is Phoenix 6x6 with the 60k Wilson trailertrailer
Bredal K165 for lime/fertilizer
Jim

Going through life one crop at a time. :coolnew:

I’m playing FS17, but I still just wanted to share my operation. Southern Mountain Creamery Farm, starting a new save game with Seasons with cows in the future.
New Holland T8.320 (wheeled; tillage)
New Holland T7.300 HD (planting, hauling silage)
New Holland TS115 Turbo (loader work, feed mixer, yard stuff)

New Holland LM7.42 Telehandler
OR
New Holland W160 Wheel Loader

New Holland FR850 Chopper

The reason for the all New Holland scheme is I am in a competition with my brother. He’s all Case IH. I still like JD though.
Let me know if you guys have any better suggestions for my operation!

These Rostselmash combines are really cool in the game. They have a nice style, and I think they are very nicely detailed. I may buy one some day for my Osina farm.
