Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Day 1 is over for my Medicine Creek save, 9 day seasons. Alfalfa germinated overnight and I am waiting for the temp to go up so I can plant my two planned fields of corn

Surprising how fast you can go off peopleiwan073 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:32 pm Barrcott always comes online at about the same time.
I thought I’d hide one of his tractors somewhere.
Tried the ocean, didn’t work. End of the map barrier is just in front of the water.
Drive it into the harbor then? Tried, but he wouldn’t be able to select the tractor once it’s under water.
Where hide it then?!
Ahhhhhh. Found a nice place...
Took a while before he realized it. But I had a good laugh out of it!
But had to bring him down at some point.
Swapped the tractor seat for a truck, 30 years later & still regretting it !

Wonder how many tractors fit in that chopper...

You could try your axion for a start, you can then fly your kit over the mountain, seeing as it won't pull it up over unaided

What map is that where you have a helicopter? Or is it a mod?

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Playing on Hazzard County, almost entirely on normal time, I've finally reached the late spring and two fields of luscious green grass mature and ready for mowing. Feels really good to finally harvest something after so many hours of prep! Thinking of springing for a small herd of Holstein's with my dwindling cash reserves (bolstered with an eye crossing amount of logging), and following FarmCat's example let them munch grass in their field until my corn and soy reaches maturity and I can get them on TMR. After all the labor intensive preparation, the plan is starting to come together.

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Been a while since I posted an update. Needed a break from the grind of LOF in MN (who knew) and have been messing around with Ellerbach in multiplayer with the pig farm and Rade in single player both using Seasons and for a change Republic of Austria Geo. I’ve been having trouble finding a geo I like for Europe. I want snow, but to have a less restricted planting schedule. Mostly playing Rade with Claas DLC. Lots of fun, just getting plowing done for first planting. Ellerbach bough a bunch of small fields also using Claas DLC but also tilling.
Re: What's going on, on your farm?
I think i forgot to mention, but my LOF save is actually a challenge between my son and I. We used the following rules, but aside from this play how you want. He is playing on PC and I’m on Xbox.
Rules:
LOF
Seasons MN Geo
9 day seasons, 5x minimum speed but can play at faster if desired.
New Farmer mode on Easy economic difficulty (I prefer normal or hard, but whatever)
Plowing required
Lime required
Default fuel usage
Weeds (don’t think it matters with Seasons, but not sure)
And most importantly, NO Money cheating at all. No mods for it and no xml editing either.
We go 3 full years and see who has the most money in cash and assets.
I chose to have my own farm, which I’ve been describing and he decided to go all big machinery and do contract work.

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Thanks! It is a lot of fun. It would be even more fun if we could cross platform multiplayer and play together on the same map. But we also have different play styles. I like a good challenge and he just likes big machines. I think I’m winning, but it’s hard to say since I’m 1/2 way through and he’s not quite done with year 1. I have a lot of assets, my machinery isn’t as big as his, but I have 5 arable fields and 2 meadows. Been raising beef from spring to late fall, sheep to pass the time. Did broilers for about a year and got burned out, so switched to leghorns. Man their reproduction is crazy big! I started with 32 hens and 4 roosters and I think I’m almost done with mid spring and bought them in early winter? Now have almost 90 chickens total from 36 in about 4 months. My female chicks aren’t big enough yet to reproduce, so I’ve not acquired any additional roosters yet and the males aren’t quite big enough to sell. The sheep (Suffolk) have also reproduce a lot. Started with 30 now have over 70, with 4 pallets of wool I just recently sold. I have also only got about 20K in debt, which is because I bought a telehandler to keep with the sheep after winter, since I needed my Maxxum back at the main farm. Had the sheep since late summer last year. They grazed until winter then I got by feeding them only 5 hay bales until the grass grew back in mid spring.
