Role play! I’m just getting into my West Coast save, and I’ve got plans for it. I haven’t properly got everything sorted yet, but I’m going to role play living in one of the towns, and then renting out the house near (but detached from) the farm as I figured that would bring in substantial income in the winter -perhaps a grand or two per year. This would give me things to do outside of farming and coming to think about it - I could even do maintenance and similar stuff!

I picked the west coast for this reason - It’s got a footpath walk and lots of landmarks that you can role play visiting etc to waste down-time.

I know the feeling of having too much down-time. My Oakfield 19 save had loads of it before I got into cows.

It's right there in the title. JK

When I get bored, I play a different game.

Yeah. That's what most people do. But not the OP for some reason.

Haha jessi that's hilarious. I know the know the feeling though. On rdr2, I just wanting to ride around an explore and npc or animals kept bugging me.

actually that's a pretty legit complaint with rdr2... *tries to shoot deer... gets shot in the head by some random try hard who stood to gain nothing by killing me* or *helps player find collectable... player returns favor by shooting me in the face*

That's why I only play single player games.

Yeah those experiences ruin online multiplayer for me.

I think transport missions could be expanded to be almost game in of itself, like how there are maps specifically for logging, but it wouldn't need specialist maps. All it would need would be much larger and more complex missions.
It would only ever be move a to b but it would be more interesting if you have 100,000 litres of corn, or an AGCO Ideal, or half a dozen Case Pumas to move.

To be fair some people want the game to be a "life as a farmer" game like some others that let you get married, repair buildings, etc.

I think that may be what they meant.

On marwell, I'm keeping the bga running 24/7. Plus animals, and fast growth there is very little down time. I'd like to do some logging but just can't seem to find the time.
