It takes time for health to increase. Just keep them fed and happy :)

And make sure you give them straw.
Straw is like + ~20-25% health boost

Isn't in seasons if you want solid manure put straw and if you want liquid, don't put straw.

So if you want that help boost you would have to have straw? Isn't that forcing you to have straw?

Exactly, thats how it works in Seasons.
You want slurry ? Dont give straw and have ~70-75% health
You want manure? Give straw and have ~95% health

So they punish you if you want slurry? Why?

Well you should ask realismus team.
But imo, its kinda realistic, when you give straw to animals, they will sleep/rest on nice bedding.
If you dont give them straw, they will sleep in their own sh%% which is not good.

But what's stopping you from giving them straw and making slurry irl? It's an unnecessary restriction.

I don't understand why you can't make both at once and I definitely don't understand why you can't give straw if you choose to make slurry. It doesn't make any sense.

Cows always poop. Sometimes the poop is made into slurry. They could reduce the amount of manure to compensate.

Edit:cleaned up because I lost my cool.

That's a good point. Bed them for winter.

A lot off farms now use sand as a bedding or wood pulp (don’t know the word in english). And an automatic cleaning system with big slurry pools were the sand sinks to the bottom. If your running milk cows you only need to bed them when they start milk production.
