Things you see on real farms that aren't in the game yet

Post by MrSquealypig » Sat Feb 15, 2020 2:34 pm

I'm sure farms all over the world are as different as their cultures, so I was wondering what things you guys see at your local farms that aren't in the game yet.

For me the most common things are:

-White signs along the road advertising what they grow (especially sweet corn, potatoes, or other vegetables)
-Greenhouses for flowers (a LOT of farms near me do flowers)
-Wild geese mostly and sometimes also ducks in the fields and ponds
-Cats (I see farm cats way more often than farm dogs around here)
-Goats/Turkeys/Emus/Llamas/Alpacas/Ponies
-Classic cars proudly parked in the yard
-Horse drawn equipment
-Hay ride trailers or carts
-Corn mazes and pumpkin patches
-Pennsylvania-dutch folk art
-Lawn games (horse shoes, bean bag toss, etc.)

That's all I can think of at the moment! How about you guys?

Ha iwan. On that note, flies around the animals and mosquitoes at night. Actually eventually that game could put bugs in the game that hurt the crops like Asian Beatles and hay aphids.

I've never seen it here but I've heard some places have big ladybug releases for pests.

Pretty cool, but that's never coming to the game!

Yea, they released the Asian Beatles to eat the hay aphids, but they are more destructive. Most likely true, but never say never Haha. Maybe add different types of weeds like milkweed, ragweed, pigweed, or etc.

Crops beeing destroyed beccause of to much rain, the making cereal lay down.
Drying the grain down to about 15% humidity, before delivering it to the sellpoint. Some even have mobile driers that run on diesel. (Like a Mepu for example).
Irrigation-systems..
Stones that comes up when ploughing/cultivating that needs picking or removed by machines (google kivi pekka)
And wood-choppers.. with transport-belts who puts the wood in piles or pallets... (like an hakki pilke)..

These are common things here in Norway, allthough the machines are from Finland :)

farming in FS19 when the wife allows *thumbsup*

Self propelled swathers/mowers. Very popular on the West Coast, USA. Also, irrigation, which is also prominent in the semi-arid regions of Washington, Oregon, and California.

I think for game purposes you just have to pretend, but still cool.
