Giants FIX the 9RX while you still can!!

Post by KevinMn »

I'm very pleased to see the 9RX make it into the game, regardless of us having one for PC for quite some time. However, there's a major flaw with the design, that I hope you'll fix before the release, as it shouldn't be too bad.

The headlights, they're oversized. They're simply too tall. I made a very scientific measurement, using the headlight as a measure of the grill. The original 9RX can fit almost 7 headlights in the grill, while yours can't even fit 6. They need to be resized. They really don't look good.

If you take a look atthe teaser trailer again, and compare to the real thing, I think you'll all agree. I can not see myself using it as it is.

Only the track setup, the hood/grill does not change throughout the different models.

Really? Look at the exhaust and the grill. Those look different to me.

The grill is not changed!

Exhaust and other parts are, some as configurations, some region specific. Anyway, the hood is the same across the board.

They don’t look that “fat” in real life as they do on the Giants dlc indeed.

Although.... in real life the lights have a black rim. In-game that rim is metallic.
It might just be an optical illusion

@iwan073

The game still has the black rim, I didn't use that in my measurement on either.

In your picture on the left, you included the rims. On the right you left them out

No, not possible.
You only get mods to consoles using the official Modhub.

Look here, it has a rim behind the glass as well, but I didn't include the black rim.

It looks like that just the in game material of the glass is not transparent enough. It seems to be too yellowish (is that even a word?). That's why they look larger in game compared to reality.

From the looks of it, as yourself pointed out, there is a rim behind the glass, in iwan photo of the 9rx, you can tell there is a black trim outlining the light outside of the light itself and then some more inside of the light encasement. On your photo’s right side, it looks like you got rid of both of these. However on the left you did not.

In this case, if you were to do the same on the left as you did on the right, you would likely get nearly the same result on both comparisons, thus making the true issue the transparency of the glass.
