Question for Aussiefarmer

Post by CrashhawkCE »

Regarding Ninghan Farms in Western Australia:

At first glance the map looks awesome! I am looking forward to checking it as soon as I am able. Is the map seasons compatible?

Thanks for the hard work!

Ooo, great question. Should probably know that before I download it for a Seasons game. I’m downloading regardless

On that note, it says it is from Western Aust and the only GEO on modhub is for Queensland, which is east. How much does the climate vary from east to west Aust?

Just use a adub modding geo for something like Maine. It’s probably spot on for Western Australia.

Just start a game with it using seasons and either snowy lands or my MN geo and once the snow loads up look in the sheds. If they are clear you are good to go, otherwise not seasons prepared.

Starting slots on new farmer with some decent equipment is 744 slots.
Sell everything including animal pastures and house and you start with 398 slots.
Yes the map is seasons compatible.
And a bit of fiddling around an you can get the bourgault equipment out in the fields. Also starting fields are decent sizes. Quick spin around and the map looks awesome.

Thanks for the heads up Tippwarrior!

Now we just need a GEO. Maybe I'll have to look at making one.. Hmmm (Maybe adub can show me how it's done..)

Just checked the map files:
- no seasons mask
- no paintable grass

Did not have a look to the map, yet.

Climate wise, Queensland and WA may as well be on different continents.

QLD is tropical. Humid as hell, rainforests, spiders so big they eat birds (literally), but looks good on postcards.

WA is mostly desert, with mines in it. They manage to get just enough rain in the south to grow wheat and keep sheep. They make some decent wine, and some good gin.
