Custom Modding - Case Planters

Not sure if everyone saw or not, but Custom Modding announced today via their facebook page that they will be working on a few configurations of the Case IH 2150 and 2160 planters to eventually be released to PC and Console. This modding group just continues to impress me with every project they take on. I enjoy having the Great Plains planter in the game but this will really be great to finally have one of the more popular corn planters from the US. One can always dream to one day have a Kinze or a John Deere corn planter on console, but I'm really looking forward to them completing this piece of equipment!

By quite a bit, too! I think the biggest one we have right now is the Great Plains at 60'. This one would be 90' in it's largest configuration.

There’s a DB120 floating around as well as a DB 90 and a 1265 as well.

The Case ih corn planters I have found have not been very good mods ( except for the cyclo). I also think the guys in this thread are on console too. Devo media has a 1255 (maybe?) And it has the wrong row units, and the hitch on the front is way too short when the planter is folded. Edit: I just searched it on google and the 1265 looks ok it actually has the correct row units haha

Yeah the 1265 is decent it’s unfinished like Devos 1255. The best big planter is probably jhhgs DB90 (I know how you feel about that brand though) and I know there is a 120 cause I have it but I haven’t used it because I haven’t grown big enough to justify a 48 row planter quite yet. And if customs are good I probably never will have need for a green planter either.

Lol I usually use the Case cyclo, kinze 3600 or the DB60

Thats for pc not all platforms but you would be correct.

I looked at the facebook link, but I didn't see if there were any updates on this? I know it takes months, but I was just curious how it's coming along.

Based on the spreadsheet they made the model is 75% done.

Sweet! This is one I'm really looking forward to. I even bought a new Quadtrac 540 today.


Of course that was mainly because I upgraded my Welker map from 2 Hatzenbichler's to 2 Bourgault 100' Paralinks, only had the one 580 Quadtrac and my BB 450's didn't have enough power to pull the 100 footer.
