Nice pictures! I pretty much had the same idea for the field layout so far. Will post pictures today evening.

Where did you get that cow pen in your picture? Seems to match very well.

@hun3: Thanks for the link! Will see how they fit in.

A few pictures of my current farm. Currently owning patch 25, 26 and 27. Took me a whole day to plow all the land.
I kept the default dirt road layout for now. Only made them more narrow.
Some of the new fields will be made into grasslands. One will be some cereal crop to get straw and maybe one will be canola. Not decided, yet.

The current cattle pen is the wood cow husbandry available in the modhub:
https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.p ... tle=fs2019
I'm not 100% satisfied as the concrete floor is too shiny/clean.

The sheep pasture is a modified version of the sheep husbandry by Vanquish:

Very nice...and yeah my first day was plowing my heart out. I use the mod that lets me plow with cultivators to shape the field edges but used a regular plow of 2 meters  . I did the same with the road you did. For the future I'm planning to use those open field husbandries and build my own fence around them. My goal is to keep the farm somewhat rural organic looking not too industrial.

I'm still working on clearing the trees off the ridge in the plot north of starting farm(16 I think). Doing it by hand so fairly slow going. Plan to have some animal pastures on the ridge and a field or two below the ridge in this plot.

I'm not sure actually, it might not be seasons updated yet. Only version 1.0 mod. I'll have to try fast forwarding seasons and see what happens. :wink3:

EDIT: Here are the results. At least with 1 layer of snow, it appears clear under the roof. It looks OK so far.

But only 1 layer of snow, removed some outside:

Oddly, I thought the grass state should be short, but it isn't. It might be the GEO mod I use, simplified EUROPEAN.

But while checking all this out, I just discovered the round shed I like, which matches the root crop storage, doesn't have a snow mask. Shame, as I quite like the design fitting with the root crop storage.

@ OP : Are you using the place anywhere mod? That farm layout looks so organic. Very nice.

Yes Global Co place anywhere is activated plus I use the terrain tool to try to blend in the buildings.

Anyone have recommendations for cow/sheep/pig pens? Something that is American style (not recommended) or big

I've really been loving this map. Didn't get it at first, but once I saw you could add rocks, bushes, etc I was sold. I've been waiting for that ability forever. I started from new farmer and cheated in the money for buildings and decor and then started with like 300k on hard.

Image
Two arable and one grass field.

Image

Image
This only holds 2 horses but that's more than enough for me with how much riding they take. Plus, it really matches the farm.

Image
This cow pen only holds 10 cows, whichwill be fine for now. It looks really old and great on the farm. And that silage bunker... Wet.

Image
My 2 arable fields are behind the farm I included the map so you can see where this is. I've been having a lot of fun with the rocks, trees and bushes. Plus there is a lot of old buildings on modhub that really match this farm. Love this map. Thanks AJ!

Weclome to the frozen wasteland!

Removed the wood chipper and bale shed, added pigs and chickens. Built a wood yard near to the shop.
Haven't done any field work - the ground has been frozen for 3 days but I have everything I need for a small logging operation.

Which open field husbandries are you taking about?

Small hack: you can use the lizard subsoiler with the Fendt Favorit if you attach it backwards. This saved me from having to get a bigger tractor and also spending a million hours plowing.
