Most satisfying parts of Farming Simulator

Post by MrSquealypig »

Everyone plays FS differently, so what parts do you find the most satisfying?

These are mine (in no particular order):

1. Compacting/leveling grass in a bunker
2. Using the Hesston bale thrower mod
3. Building and using warehouses
4. Turning poplar into wood chips with a forage harvester
5. Driving on bumpy, winding roads so I can see my character bouncing around in the cab
6. Taking photos of the beautiful equipment
7. Shoveling manure into greenhouses/orchards
8. Sweeping up food troughs with the broom
9. Tipping out of the grain door
10. Fertilizing with manure/slurry from my own animals
11. Making TMR from scratch
12. Using straw blowers
13. My daily horse ride to each of my other animal paddocks to check on them
14. Driving a small old tractor around to supervise my workers in the fields
15. Transporting equipment on a low-loader
16. Using portable fuel tanks
17. Pressure washing
18. Transporting livestock
19. Trying new sheds and garages
20. Putting gates around my farms
21. Pulling grain trailer trains
22. Mowing the lawn
23. Hay/straw pellets!
24. Building a solar or wind farm
25. Using auger wagons in the field
26. Using the Bag'n'Lifter
27. Seeding
28. Harvesting
29. Using trucks with attached grain trailers or hooklifts
30. Using modular equipment (e.h. terra variant, syntrac, fortschritt mower/tedder/windrower, etc.)

And I'm sure I will think of more later! How about you guys?

The highlights, in order

1. Combining - especially breaking into a new field and double especially when it's the first field in the year.

2. Drilling, fertilising or spraying especially when finishing up the headlands and leaving the field perfectly finished and pristine.

3. Carting bales down narrow, twisty roads.

Are you playing on seasons? Console or PC? Do you use Massey kick baler often?

I think cultivating is my favorite activity, with a wide cultivator, turning all those messy harvest roots or all those plowed furrows back into nice, smooth dirt.

Loading round bales on trailer's an hauling them back to the yard..although I do use one of the auto load bale forks for grabbing two bales at a time,I don't see that as cheating to much because you still have to drive to the bales then stack them on the trailer properly which does take time to get the hang of..

Absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt making hay and feeding cattle. Close second is combining grain and baling the straw. I'm typically not a huge fan of field work, but I will do it on my own a lot of the times.

In no order:

Trucking around the map, especially hauling equipment on the low loader, for some reason

Harvesting/Combining, bringing in the crop leads to satisfaction of a job well done.

Operating the wheel loader, it's just plain old fashioned fun

Making TMR in the mixer wagon, no idea why, but I find it fun playing "the mad scientist" and experimenting with different recipes to stretch one ingredient out a little further. (The one I use the most with the Kuhn 18,000L mixer is one full bale straw, 2 hay and top off with silage. Been using that since FS15!)

Ploughing.

Loading pallets and seed bags onto flatbeds, until it inevitably goes wrong...
