If you guys are Australien then can you answer a few questions, what’s a vegamite sandwich, what’s vegamite taste like, and what’s the normal way you prepare it?

Vegemite on hot, well buttered toast is great. It’s basically just a salty, savoury, concentrated spread. You only want to use the tiniest amount. Don’t spread it on like it’s jam.

Now I want to go make toast, and it’s 10pm.

So is that a vegemite sandwich then or what exactly is that?

Yeah. Vegemite sandwiches are pretty basic, but sometimes it’s all you want to eat. Bread + Butter + Vegemite.

I’m not aware of it being a euphemism for anything, but this is Australia. Everything’s a euphemism for something here. It’s been a while since I hung out with tradies.
