Making Bales or Collecting Loose Straw for Selling?
I am thinking about getting a loading wagon or a baler to sell the straw that is left behind after harvesting wheat, barley or oats. I saw the prices on the seeling prices list. The price mentioned was only in the format of Price/1000L. Each bale is of 4000L. So, its price will be Price/1000L × 4. If i collect it with loading wagon, then too i will get the same volume and the selling price is also same. Then why care about the hassle for making bales when i can simply collect it with loading wagon and sell it at the same price as bales?

In real life, and to some degree in FarmSim, bales are easier to store, and probably transport, than a huge mound of loose material.

If you're using seasons, like me, sell price is zero if not baled. Likely because they'd be baled in real life.

dump it on the ground and bale it, then haul it to the sell point. problem solved

You can also install the "Variable Bale Capacity" mod, get 20.000l in a bale, and then depending on your bale trailer, drive away with 320.000l - 600.000l pr load instead of 20.000 - 50.000l in a loading wagon.

Just make sure you’ve got the power to pull that load off you do, I learned that the hard way when I politely asked my T6.150 to pull a full trailer of 10000L bales. Then realised that my route took my up a steep hill

I've been baling and selling straw since starting (like two weeks ago...) and after manually forking 200+ bales onto trailers I finally discovered autoload trailers. Unless you're wanting to play Forklift Simulator, autoload is the bomb.

Hopefully that doesn't show up for free on PS Plus.

This is a funny thread... forklift simulator.
I'd buy that 70k loose straw. 2000 cattle needs a lot of straw.
