How to lose money
So here's one I suspect you don't get every day.... How do I lose a lot of money easily?
I messed up and bought the wrong harvester, and then accidentally saved when I intended to quit and buy the correct one (damn muscle memory of saving every time I open the screen). To 'correct' the issue I figured I would throw down a few of those signposts that give you 100k per hour, get back to my original amount of money, and no harm no foul right?
Right.
Except that I then forgot to delete them, played a few hours, and now have far more money than I originally had, which weirdly... is kind of sapping my enjoyment of the game.
Incidentally, Im on console, so if the first suggestion would be to go root about in files to adjust a value somewhere... nah, not an option.
Thoughts?

lease and return equipment over and over? If you not playing with seasons buy and sell over and over, but with seasons there is a 30 minute period where bought vehicles when sold return original vaule

Re: How to lose money
You could try adding a mod for a vehicle you don't use, buy a few of them, save, and turn the mod off when you re-load. Those vehicles you just bought should have just vanished into thin air. That'll remove large chunks of money quickly.

Re: How to lose money
If you have JD cotton dlc, just lease and return a heap of JD cotton harvesters, they are around 50,000 per lease so that should get cash down quickly. I play on xbox and do a lot of roleplay and am always adding money with signs and removing money by leasing.

Actually, that might be a damn good shout. I had previously tried buying/selling vehicles for the drop in cost, but it was taking too long. This would certainly get around that.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, i may well end up using a combo of all of them tbh. Never thought id want to flush hundreds of thousands down the toilet, but nevermind eh!

Well if you need to lose a lot of money quickly;
Get married or,
Get divorced or,
Become the US Government or,
Invest with Bernie Madoff.
In game, when I need to dump cash, the tacked JD tree harvester is the most expensive piece to lease, so I just take a bunch of those out and return them.

Re: How to lose money
Buy the most expensive equipment you can and sell it. might have to do it a few times but you lose half the value each time.

Re: How to lose money
The above is the best idea, yes. Buy the most expensive machine (probably the JD cotton harvester if you got that DLC) and sell it. You lose way more than when you're leasing one.

But as Alagos' signature line says, he assumes you don't use seasons, unless you say otherwise.
I do use seasons, so that's why I used the leasing example.
