Hilly maps

Post by RunlikeaDeere » Sun Oct 11, 2020 2:10 am

Without having to download them all and try them out, does anyone know any hilly maps I could try out? I'm trying to make a map in some very hilly farm country.

I hate doing this, but Osina is very hilly on the left side of the map.

Osina is almost an answer to everything.

It’s the truth though....lol

I feel like it’s a joke to keep answering map questions with Osina. But it really is a fantastic map. And it smacks all these dudes in the face that say you can’t make a nice, realistic, detailed map on 19.

I have looked at it and if it had american style roads and houses and farm I would use it. That's really my only gripe.

Yeah, navigating around with the John Deere 7000 planter is tough, but I can manage with everything else. I started a new save on Ravenport. I want to see how cool I can make the map with 2 years worth of mods.

I hate Ravenport. I can get over all the trash, I'm ok with run down buildings--real farms have those. I. just cant get over seeing a surfboard in a farmhouse.

I made the mistake of clicking fill when I saw a trigger pop up for fill fertilizer on that planter. I thought I missed something and clicked fill to watch my money get stolen. Now I feel like one of those grandmas that get scammed into paying 2k to ship my 50k lottery winnings

Since you haven't stated system, I'll give pc recommendations :

Eiersholt. Not extremely hilly, but there are a couple of interesting fields.

Tyrolean Alps. Name says it all, doesn't it?

Stappenbach. Bit of everything. Not extremely hilly though.

Babrosty. Not Alps, but some hills, also flat fields. I have finally parked this map, afthe 200ish hours on it.

The Hills Of Slovenia and Slovenian Countryside by whitebull.

Walchen. Welcome to the alps 😁

Pre Alps. Though, the feel is better in my opinion in Walchen.

The Pacific Northwest 19. Not very hilly fields, but still got a long way up from the lower levels.

Durango. If I remember correctly.

Świętokrzyska Wieś. I believe it's this.... if so, it got some challenging fields

I'll continue with PC - Georgetown NY. It is 4x and does require quite a bit from computer but it certainly has some nice hills

Unfortunately my PC can't run Georgetown properly so I've had to give that one a miss at least until I upgrade my machine

Chedly I finally downloaded Osina. It is a very nice and beautiful map, Id have to agree with Honky, if it had American roads, I'd playa lot more of it. The only other thing I didnt like is a lot of the invisible walls. Hopefully I can make this map very open ala Lone Oak. Other than that, I see why you love it. It's a beautiful map.

I will check those PC maps when I get the pc version, thanks. Smoky Mountains would be a DREAM map for me, I love that place...been to Gatlinburg a lot, it's Gods country.

But... but... 'Murrcah!

Genuinely though, is there a reason some people refuse to use maps/equipment that arent American? Sure, maybe the roads are a little narrower and might take the tiniest thought to navigate, but fields are fields, surely? Cant imagine there is any type of climate or landscape that America doesnt have somewhere, so seems those people would have more options if they just pretended they were in America and got on with it maybe.
