What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
Let's add the feel of the heavy load on equipment + real sounds mentioned earlier. Get rid of the static fisheye effect from cab view. Ofcourse you can decrease this with lowering the field of view for example 53 etc. Machine sounds, noice and realistic feeling if you could take peek with free head movement.
Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
I'd like to see a more realistic economy. Just some thoughts:
Rent farmland - Option 1: It could be X dollars per day per acre that after X days increases to entice you to purchase it... Option 2: Or, upon harvesting that field, a fee is paid upon delivery of the crop to the sell point... Option 2 will be harder to do, but...
Contracts increase friendship - The more work you do for a specific person on a contract, the less the land rent, or the less it takes to buy the land.
Crop contracting - Allow to sell crop futures. Sometimes a crop will be worth more while it's still in the field. Then, there should be a penalty if you can't "fill" that contract.
Seasons - Maybe this would be turned on for an "Advanced" or Expert mode?

I dont see it that essential.
Difference of opinion, however sound has as much to do with immersion as visuals have.
Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
Base game is missing alot of things. Im going to try to name the most essential ones specialy if you like realism.
Seasons, GPS, some sort of courseplay and follow me implementation, manure system, more realistic driving physics, 3d ground, different tillage types and some sort of soilmod implementation etc
Alot of things are missing that arent on poll so i voted 3d ground and root crop equipment also if i could vote for 3 options on the list the third one would be more american stuff

Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
It would be nice if we could sell harvested crop straight from the silo, without physically delivering it ourselves.
Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
You know I would have said in the past that I wanted more American stuff, but since I've been playing I've noticed I gravitate more towards European maps. I really like the Polish maps and the Slovenian one. They are a real challenge.
This is the most fun you're ever gonna have

- Traffic on the correct side of the road for the nationality of the map location.
- Basic years and planting / harvesting seasons in the base game, which can be replaced (or expanded) with the Seasons mod if desired.
- Multiple vehicle dealerships capability (e.g. one for used vehicles, one for new, another for non-farm vehicles such as cars and vans)
- Deeper vehicle and equipment collections in the base game, with wider price ranges (especially for older equipment - 2020's turbo-truck pricing for 1950s 40hp tractors is just not correct).
- More included maps with each release (work with your best mod-map makers Giants!)
- Better and in-game terraforming ... why have bulldozers and tractor buckets if they can't change the lay of the land? (voxel mining for digging)
- More crop types e.g. carrots, turnips, swedes, parsnips, Brussels sprouts, peas, bean varieties, etc.
- More animal types e.g. goats, turkeys, geese, and regional variants e.g. cattle - Aberdeen Angus, Brahmin, Texas Longhorn, etc.
- default silage bunkers rotating in 1-degree increments instead of 90-degree steps for better placement.
- more terrain painting options, especially grass and mud types that match with new soil types in Precision Farming
I could go on and on, it's not possible to pick just two options.

Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
While I would love higher slot counts and maybe even follow me or CP for consoles, I think in a most basic sense for realism, these 2 things should be near the top of the list,
1. Worker wages. To be honest upfront I'm not sure if this is seasons mod or base game, but if you hire a worker with the clock on real time, you're paying a worker $1,024 per hour. That's insane as no one would ever be paid that much for farm work. Instead, if I was in charge I'd tie wages in with the game clock and make a setting in the menu to decide farm hand wages. Somewhere around $10-$15 an hour seems right to me.
2. Farm supplies. Not only are there different kinds of seeds and blends of fertilizer, but unless I'm mistaken, the prices fluctuate some throughout the year. Now maybe it would be difficult to differentiate in the seeds between a 90 and 100 some odd day corn hybrids, but if crop prices can vary, why not on the supply side as well so you actually have to plan out when and how much to order/purchase to get the best price and enough quantity on hand to last you?

Like having a Contractor come in. They do that in real life I see them with trucks being loaded from the grain sheds at the yards

Surprised nobody has said: Dynamic Traffic! (just like in good old fs2011)
Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
I would say a higher slot count would improve the game. Even tho a dynamic ground would be great too but I'm not sure if my hardware could handle this.
By the way I found reviews of the most recent slots in online casinos on captaingambling.com and was surprised about the results.

Completely slipped my mind. Now wouldn't it be great to push cars off the road instead of getting hurtled off the road yourself. lolEmil Jørgensen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 5:53 pm Surprised nobody has said: Dynamic Traffic! (just like in good old fs2011)

Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
So i already mentioned seasons gps manure system follow me and the dire need for these mods to be in the base game. Giants dont need to make exact copies of this mods but their implementation is crucial for gameplay from where im standing.
3D soil wont happen with the next fs entry in the series but one can hope that this can come in future where next gen consoles become current gen approx 3 to 4 years from now. But i would realy like to see better textures for ground and crops the current ones look bad and if you look what oxy david is doing with calmsden farm textures you get the idea.
Also there is a need to realy change the tillage in this game. Plows are okay but subsoilers power harrows cultivators and disc harrows need more difference between them. For example subsoiler its not the fine tillage tool its used in fall to break soil compaction and aerate the soil from underneath and you still need to use a seedbed prep tool in the spring. There are cultivators that are actualy chisel plows and not the seedbed prep ones. Ingame all of the cultivators are the same.
Same thing goes for disc harrows there are deep rough tillage ones and then there are fine seedbed prep ones which farmers use in spring. Its not the same and there needs to be a clear distinction between them. Also power harrows make the finest seedbed beacuse thats thier specialty.
Giants need to read a book or 2 about farming imo.

More crops like lentils, chickpeas, hairy vetch, oilseed rape. Orchards like pistachios, olive oils etc. Orchard's equipment like small tractors, turbines, harvesters etc. And vineyards.
More maps from south EU like Greece.

Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????
I think lease to buy equipment options. As a younger farmer IRL, I wouldn't be able to afford a brand new tractor from my dealer and pay straight up, but if I could pay it off over 48 months it would be better.
I also think they need to have a wider selection of root crops, eg carrots and onions. This might not appeal to everyone, but the way the plant, harvest and tend to carrots for example is amazing.
And if they added the Zell's 212ft air seeder and twin cart setup welker farms would be easier to plant. Haha. Otherwise they do need to make disc harrows and cultivators different. Disc harrows are good for wire weed control, where as a scarifier (cultivator) is good for stubble incorporation and you really need to either plow then scarify or scarify and then off set disc (disc harrows). The way we farm here in Australia is quite different to the northern hemisphere, from ground prep to animal husbandry, or even crop sales and machinery, we are different, so I guess every part of the world would say differently on what FS needs. I like it the way it is now and having precision farming and seasons eg makes it a whole lot more real.
