Hi

im looking for some advice on the best maps to build your own farm on console. Ive done it on both Greenwich Valley (field 48 and 49) and no mans land but im looking for a good map with small fields/hedges that i can do some landscaping on to build another one.

Try Meadow Grove Farm. Small fields, hedges all over and tons of field gates. It also has a largish area where to build your farm as well.

Are you looking for an American style or European style?

Find the map first that you like to play and then find a spot for farm. Some has more challenges, but the farm will be unique and you can play the map you like. Plenty to choose nowdays.

Good farmyards has Kornau. There is possible to build by the sea. Great riding terrain. Large map gives a lot of difference opportunities. You can swim there with your dog. Cute little towns, I love to even get lost there, heh oh me scatty. :wink3: :smileynew:

Thanks for the replies all, I prefer a Euro map and I’m currently on no mans land, I’ve built up a massive farm with 300 cattle, one field that takes up nearly 3 sections of the map, I have amount 6/7m worth of machinery and I’m kind of done with it, I like that initial challenge of saving for machinery... currently I’m just going through the motions of harvesting chaff for silage to rinse money from the BGA and planting this massive field with the 30m bourgault drill, it earns me about 450k each harvest.

It’s at this point I always think the challenge is over. Using stuff like the 6m John Deere drill with the little 12k Brazilian new Holland tractor has a certain charm over just ploughing through with the massive stuff.

I would suggest Minnibrun? Not sure if the spelling is correct on that but I keep going to that map for small farming and it has some cool textures in the landscaping tool. Like bushes and different types of grass. It has a few good spot to make your on farm. Im sure there's a couple map tours out there for it so you can preview before you download 😉 👍

For me it's No man's land every time , from painted hedges to lowering the ground to make rivers and streams and not to mention the exclusive mods, I've built 4 maps so far on it in my YouTube channel, BallinCraig, Tom Pemberton map, a place called Ladyhill in Antrim and a complete No man's Land using the roads on the mini map and building every sell point from scratch, I've done so much in NML I've actually more or less quit mod maps , I still haven't even got round to trying Sandybay
