Courseplay + Saitek side panel

Post by Miketeg »

Hello!

Just bought the Side Panel by Logitek (saitek).

Is there a way to move mouse cursor with it?

Courseplay needs mouse cursor for lot of operation...Would like to have the joy stick to act as mouse when CP hub is on.

Anyone as figured out how to achieve this?

That's a big turn off if we need a mouse + the side panel...

My goal was to have my G920 + Shifter + Side Panel only.

Definitely not going to get enough key combos with just that....
But, have you considered a trackball to mount beside the sidepanel?

Personally I'm considering getting a stream deck to get more awailible programmable buttons

Trackball idea isn't a bad one. I'm still figuring how to mount side panel + shifter close to my wheel...that's a lot of equipment ! Thanks for the idea!

I'm using a playseat challenge seat + G920 + Shifter

I have a little table where I put my G13 (that I want to remove for the SAitek), but the way the SAitek needs to be installed (with a screw, similar to the wheel), it doesn't work. Table is too light for it.

I have the full heavy equipment bundle and dual thrustmaster sticks....definitely space consuming but you'll figure out a solid layout.......a cheaper alternative to the stream deck would be an older unused tablet running Simdashboard

I kind of figured out yesterday

I'm bringing my G13 with the joystick as a mouse

It gave me all button on the wheels + shifter + side panel + G13 (which add like 66 possibility)

That's a lot of control panel to use, but it works !

You can with other programs. I use Xpadder for those things, you can map basically anything to do anything the computer can to. It's very easy to use, and works great.
