I was playing around with the in store landscape .....screwed up game auto saved.....is there and easy way to even out the ground that im missing?

A mixture of leveling and smoothing... but it'll never be the same

Turn autosave off should be the first thing you do before terrain editing. That way if you mess up you can just quit and restart the save.
I always turn off autosave whenever I start a new map anyway.

And frequent saving during. Start with a save, then save as you go, and are satisfied with the done part.

The landscape tool can be quite hard to master but keep practising and as the others have said, ever time you make something your happy with save it before starting the next bit

Yeah, you can just hit und....oh wait, they haven't completed it yet.
