How or why would I be biased? I'm impartial. Doesn't affect me either way.

Tbh, I don't actually think the banned modders made 'high quality' stuff, from my experience it were usually resource hungry poly-bomb mods. And that's not 'high quality' to me.
You sure you know what modders your talking about Alagos?
Siid, Nefg, Steenkamp. Potentially Custom Modding and who knows who else. We're talking about the best North American spec modders, and some of the best modders in general here, not some back water modder selling mods on Patreon which have game breaking bugs. And have you played with any of these mods? I've never heard of their mods having slot counts that are out of line from anyone on console (as in Deere's are high in general, but the modded ones aren't extra high)

So far from the facts I have seen is that, potentially they have faint traces of DLC in some minor-ish parts.
All of these mods were tested by Giants and have been updated at least once. (So atleast 2 rounds of testing) and were still released. And why weren't any of these tracks checked out just in case someone cracked a DLC when they first were being tested?
And as for them being told at the beginning of the week not the 24th, its still Christmas break and Giants is now on hiatus until January.

What I would see as reasonable from my point of view is, remove the download link from the mod page, and temporarily suspend their accounts while this is being investigated and give them a chance to defend themselves. And then make a decision.

I feel a good analogy if this is stolen DLC parts, Someone takes a chunk of tree limb that fell on the ground, whittles you a nice Christmas decoration (mod) and gives it you for free, you give them some Christmas cookies (money from the Mobhub). And then a few months later you charge them with trespassing and theft (these events). Not illegal, but not exactly nice either.

As for the Challenger MT700, it doesn't use the triangle style tracks that I assume all those who were banned used.

I'm of the opinion that if the mod is published on their Modhub for 2+ weeks and Giants doesn't do anything about it, they've endorsed it and coming back months later with a semi-ambiguous ban is complete garbage. This is more so of a problem if the issue in question wasn't originally created by Giants.
I guess, Giants took actions as soon as they verified the issue reported. And most likely it wasn't reported right at the time of the upload.

If it gets proven that you cheated in a test, you can failo this test also if you initially would have passed it... same for a doctor's thesis by the way.

My pure guess is that the subpar DLC Giants put out for FS19 under performed their targets, so they just banned some popular modders for "reasons" in order to prevent the modders from competing against their trash DLC. All this means is that the gap between PC and console grows.
Really?

So for everyone talking about how the tracks were part of the Claas DLC, the Track array in question here that is causing all the problems is from the Bourgalt DLC. Also the track Array is what gives the tracks their shape and thats it. Steenkamp dug into the tracks on his quad and that is litterly the only thing that could possibly have caused this. Also Custom Modding was banned because they "used DLC parts" also, go thru the list of their mods they put out and try to find what item they used parts on. Reason i said that cause i did and the problematic mods that were removed by giants from the modhub are the 9RT, the wilson trailer sets and i believe thats it. Both those mods have been out since before any DLC came out except for maybe the Anderson one. Now as for calling US mods polybombs and junk mods, that goes both ways, also Customs C850 and 1870 seeder would like to say something about that. There is fault on both sides here with all this and i belive the modders banned and giants themselves will work it out.

I'm pretty sure the issue in question is internal to Giants, not from a 3rd party.

Let's say it is 3D tracks, the process should have gone like this:

Mod team - hey management team, we have this mod with 3D tracks, which is on your Claas and Bougault DLC and is supposed to be super hard.
Management team - hold off on publishing that mod until we can check it out.
Mod team - ok, will do, let us know when we can publish it.
Management team - that mod looks to use stuff we don't allow modders to use, don't publish it.
Mod team - ok, we'll deny it, let the modder know and flag them until further notice.

Yes, but you are told why you cheated and are typically allowed to counter the claim to some extent. You are also given very specific rules to follow and cheating only happens if you violate one of those rules. Which rule you violated needs to be presented by the accuser, not just "you cheated because I said so".

We have seen before that some modders are quick to run to Facebook with a skewed version of events, Lisertan took the time to reply to one of them on Facebook and then the tune changed completely.

GIANTS has to be the only developed that I would see people defending over banning people who work to make their own game better. To be fair, if they did steal the 3D tracks, that's not right, but GIANTS took a long time to decide they wanted to ban these creators. If say, EA did something like this, people would be up in arms, but GIANTS just gets the ok I guess? I know nothing about modding or the proceeds of having Moda on the modhub, so maybe everything I say is stupid, but a ban before holidays seems odd. If this is such a big deal how did the mods pass in the first place?

We all should thank GIANTS for making this game we all love, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be critical of their actions. Of their actions. They can do what they like, it's their game, but in my opinion mods are what make the game enjoyable for me, and for GIANTS to seemingly ban people with no opportunity for them to fix the issues isn't right. If they want to keep their community around and interested in new releases they need to communicate better. I'm Canadian and mods for north american vehicles are what have kept me around for 600+ hours of fs19. All I ask of GIANTS is to be more open so they don't alienate their community. I love this Gamez but I will vote with my wallet if shady things continue.

Sorry for that being a bit all over the place, I don't have time to lay my thoughts out as nice as I wanted to. I just want to express my opinions. I understand those who disagree and that's fine. Cheers, and merry Christmas everyone!

They test thousands of mods and the people who test the mods probably are not the same ones who made the tracks for the DLC so how are they going to know they are the same

Giants is a very small company, with no more than 50 people. There is no excuse for the mod approval team not knowing what red flags the development and management team care about. If Giants is so wound up tight about content in paid DLCs being used in other mods, they should have let the mod approval team to know that is a big deal and to highlight it when it shows up.

Also, it's not like so many mods get released that the wound up tight person couldn't look through the mods daily and come across what they care about. It takes 5 minutes to look through the new mods each day; less time if you through out all the stuff that is fairly common and just repeats of other stuff already on the modhub.

They didn't even have the ability to dump crops on the ground 2 games ago and you think they have the time to compare all the mods to all their dlcs

All this nonsense because somewhere in the world a spoiled, privileged, first-world problem man-baby decided one day that they couldn't stand to live another day without a feature that literally nobody needs (you can't even see them while operating the vehicles, even in third person view) and then suddenly everyone in the world, who can't even agree that the sky is blue and grass is green, mindlessly demanded that every mod needed to have them or else.

Merry Christmas assholes

If Giants has time to block and remove modders on Christmas break why cant they release an official statement to remove all of the speculation on what happened.
