I'm absolutely in love with this map. But is anyone having any issues with the seasons geo? My grass will not grow until late summer/early fall. With other geos I've tried, I can usually get 2 cuttings a year. So far, I only get one here. And my regular crops seem to lag behind too. I planned on double-cropping soybeans after winter wheat but the wheat stayed at the last stage of growing until it was too late to plant beans.

As always, since seasons came out for FS17, I'm playing 6 day seasons at 5x.

I'm thinking I might change it during winter to the US Midwest geo. I just wouldn't mind some snow, but that's okay.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!

@fenixguy
Glad you like the map.
You may want to try 9 day seasons with the Griffin GEO. It seems to model the weather fairly accurate. I used WeatherSpark average data for the GEO and it gets a little wonky with short seasons.

@AJ, I wanna use that John Deere riding mower and I was thinking of cutting grass in town for the towns people, but want to find a place to get rid of grass. I know a few months back there was discussion on wether the hay barn bought grass or loose grass. Is that an option? I figure by selling the grass is how I get paid to cut grass.

Hey Ched. I was just on my way outside to do my mowing and Pennsylvania is not that far from Michigan. I have a nice John Deere D140 that needs a driver. :mrgreen:

@dagrump, lol. You know the funny thing, is that in real life, I use a reel mower I ordered off of Tractor Supply. So there I am outside cutting my grass with a non powered push mower wearing my old John Deere hat. It has to be confusing for my neighbors here in town. But with that said, riding a lawn mower again would be pure luxury for me. Growing up, I had an Allis Chalmers 410 ( I think that model number is correct). I used that thing to pull out tree stumps and everything.

@chedly_farms
Try to sell loose grass at O'Conner Farm. In the last update 1.2.0.0 I added "grass_windrow" so Seasons Silage bales would be accepted. I am pretty sure loose grass is the same ID tag

Is anyone playing Griffin with Seasons and the Add on Straw Harvest?

I'm on PS4, running 6 day seasons and decided I'd try the straw harvest as I've never used it before. I was in mid winter with deep snow. Installed the Straw Harvest, loaded the game and all the snow had disappeared. I uninstalled the Straw Harvest, loaded up again and the snow was back.

Is this normal?

I do remember straw harvest having some issues with seasons. I assumed they got it all fixed.

Believe that’s broken normal, messes with filltypes so snow breaks temporarily

So if I want to play with the Straw Harvest add on, I have to lose snow?
Is that the only effect it has on seasons?
This is the first map I've really gone to any length with Seasons and I'm really enjoying it so I'd rather not turn that off.

I don’t think you will lose snow I think you’re just losing it while adding the mod. Adding certain mods that add fill types sometimes take away things tipped on the ground that are currently there, it’s happened to me with silage before. A quick way to test would be to fast forward until winter next season after shutting auto save off and see if the weather is correct.
