there are always questions from, to and about the placeable factories. This type of production was specially designed for console players via the variant of the animal stable (animal husbandry). And well, since there is not so much information, I thought to myself, all the information, which I have collected over time about it, just pack in one place and make available collected. 😇



I hope it‘s not much information for you now, because after all I don't want to scare you with all my detailed info.

A bit of useless background knowledge 😅

In contrast to the PC, there are no (quickly put down) productions on the consoles. The reason is that the console manufacturers don't allow scripts and so the console gamers were left behind for a long time. Then there were finally placeable productions for the console, which unfortunately only work via the animal pen.

Since the consoles have the additional restriction that only a maximum of 10 animal pens can be placed. So you have to make a decision. What should be produced? Which animals should be on the farm? and so on … unfortunately, everything is not possible.

Placeable productions on the consoles exist so far only by erShaba/Vanquish081 (VSRModdingSur), Farmer Mahnew and by MikiMapper.

  • Note restrictions:
    - The map must be prepared for the corresponding factories/productions !!!
    - A maximum of 10 animal pens can be set up (due to console limitation)
    • The doghouse is not part of this, even it‘s counts as animal husbandry.

  • How to activate these factories / productions?

    In order to be able to dump a raw material into the filling areas, you have to activate the factory/production first of all!.
    -> For the factories you have a big red gate in front of the factory on the right side. There is the trigger for activating the factory.
    -> For the productions, it is the door on the front -> see pictures in spoiler!

    • By erShaba/Vanquish081 (VSRModdingSur):
      There is no factory in stock:

      Once you are in the trigger area, you can open the 'livestock dealer':
      Image

      Press X to move the factory one or more times into the yard and confirm with the square. Then you have the factory in stock.
      The activation prices are different:
      Image

      If you want to end the factory, you have to take out the factory again and move it from the stock to the animal dealer.
      Finally confirm with a square -> as when selling animals:

    • By Farmer Mahnew:
      Here is the trigger area to start production:

      There is no production in stock:
      Image

      Once you are in the trigger area, you can open the 'livestock dealer':

      With X move the fabrication to the yard and confirm with a square. Then you have the factory in stock:

      If you want to end the production, you have to take out the production again and move it from the stock to the animal dealer. Finally confirm with a square -> as when selling animals:

The sale of a factory/production is only possible when the factory/production has been shut down. However, a message will appear if something is still blocking the shutdown. Simply pay attention to it. If everything fits, the factory is taken out of the active stock and can be sold. The remaining raw materials are discarded.

  • And don't be alarmed if one (or many) error message(s) pop up at the upper right corner.

List of available factories with the productions by Farmer Mahnew
  • Each production needs between 7 and 10 slots.
  • The productions are Seasons compatible.
    BUT: The prerequisite for this is the Seasons GEO: NML Production by Farmer Mahnew.
    • ❗ When used with Seasons alone or with another GEO, operation is not guaranteed. ❗

Old Production Pack contained:

1. The production: Old Silageproduction
  • Delivery:
    chaff/gras (100% productivity)
    -> no water necessary

    Manufactured:
    silage

    potatoes/sugar beets (+ 5% productivity = 100% -> if all raw materials added)

  • How does this actually relate to Seasons and the placeable factories?

Even though the factories will be made ready for Seasons soon, I wanted to use the time before that, to find out what the factories have been doing so far when they are installed in a Seasons game.
Does my console burn down? Does the game crash on me? Can I use the factory? Or can't?

No sooner said than done. I started a new game and activated Seasons on it.
I made the following experience:
  • 1. Fortunately, my worst fears did not come true.
    Despite the fact that the factories mods where loaded into the game, nothing flared or crashed ... puhhh ... fortunately ... 😄
  • 2. The factory could be placed, but after that it was only decoration and not a functioning factory.

Since Seasons turns the entire animal menu 'upside down', the display in the stables also changes:
  • without seasons:

I tested with the laminated boards factory from Placeable Factories Pack (not seasons ready -> version: 1.2.5.0 from 11.12.2020)
  • laminated boards factory placed, no raw materials included:

    More than 1.000 ltr did not want to pour into the trigger:

    I can not add any more raw materials:

    You can not add more than one activation:

Result of the test:
The factory was at a standstill. I let it run for two days. The raw materials were not consumed. The production did not start.
-> but at least neither the score, nor the game itself crashed 😄

I do not know if I can / should post here and spoil this beautiful topic ... But let's go...

The update came out today for the new version compatible with Seasons. My question is...

I have the Eureka Farm map (not updated) with those amazing Mods. It is compatible with Factories. If I upgrade Factories to the new version, will it continue to work on this map?

Game without seasons, and I can not update the map because the mods have been removed in recent updates. But I was going to play in Ravensberg (When to update) with seasons and factories.

Cruel doubt!

It is no problem to write something about it here. That's what this post is for.

Since this is new for all of us, I wrote that the factories may only be updated when the adjustment update of the maps have been completed.

Since I will not put the factories in my own score until TopAce888 has done the customization update 1.3, I will download all the factories and updates and try them out.

Thank you. In my case the concern would be on the map of Eureka, which I can not update it because of the Mods that Modder put on it.

But anyway, ErShaba responded to me on YouTube saying it will only work if the map is updated. I'll stay out of this update while I'm in Eureka. :(

Yes, that's right. The maps need to be updated beforehand, by the mappers. This and moe informations you will find in my starting post.

TopAce888 is already on it. But until the update is there, it can still take a while, of course. Everything should run well. And after that it has to be released by Giants in Modhub. Therefore, please be patient and please do not update the factories until then.

1. Test started with a not yet adapted card:
Tested Map: Ravensberg Factories (2/2):
Old savegame with old factory and seasons and that together with seasons GEO: Production: The savegame had a stand still image immediately after it was loaded! -> game canceled

2. test with the same savegame but without Seasons GEO: Productions.
Game starts. Old factory gone. No longer stands there. But the savegame is still ok.
New factory built. Activated. Filled with raw materials. -> then a stand still image! -> game canceled
