Can you fix the position of the external camera view from vehicle on PC?

When I switch from vehicle to vehicle using the external camera view I need to change the angle and depth of the view. Is there a way to fix the external view permanently? If it's use the "Reset Vehicle Camera" switch, I can't figure it out.
Any help would be appreciated.
