They did say it wasn't like the seasons mod. We'll likely get the four seasons, with possible seasonal activities. All we've seen for possible activities so far was the girl plowing snow in the CGI movie.

And the fact planting/harvesting/etc is able to be limited/recommended to certain times.
If you're playing Farming Simulator 22 with seasonal growth activated, you'll have to take a look at the crop calendar, too: Plant your grapes between March and June and don't waste time harvesting them in September and October with the New Holland Braud 9070L. Also, don't forget to prepare what's left for the next season the following year!

Hopefully they will go a step further and bring multi terrain angle to basegame. It's the thing that kills my enjoyment of a map and I only play maps which include it.
On top of that considering how badly the game runs on last gen consoles those new pom textures probably won't even be used. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not in use on current gen either. As you said, these textures won't change much especially if the tractors just glide over the top of them like they usually do.
Giants already confirmed that last gen consoles won't support parallex occlusion mapping.
Which is ridiculous given that GTA5 supported it on the base PS4 and Xbox One back in 2015.

Bwahahahaha, 🍿? I think we should sit this one out and just do commentary. The last one got pretty wild with the accusations of reverse trolling and reverse reverse trolling, then all the people who started it coming back later and calling everyone childish and random people coming in accusing others of things who had nothing to do with anything, that’s some days of our lives ****.

What is even more ridiculous is that Parallax Occlusion Mapping was first published in 2005. Quite funny seeing that comment since PS4 and XOne released in 2013, 8 years after POM.

I personally can't get excited about a post showing 16 years old Parallax Effect tech, that is only available "if your system can handle it", especialyl when I take a look at what Unreal Engine 5 is bringing this year to consoles as well.

Parallax Occlusion Mapping "might not be on last gen consoles". Seemingly it depends on how much performance can be squeezed out before release.

I just remembered that being a feature that was advertised for GTA5 on those new consoles. I think it was that and ambient occlusion that was exciting at the time.

30 years from now, FS will eventually look like Crysis. It's something to look forward to at least. Lol.

Really we are really going to compare GTA5 farming vs Farming simulator?
Have you seen the tractors in GTA? they are just the worst everything just looks terrible bales were huge the ground never changed nothing grew or changed heck I can't even remember seeing anyone working in the fields. Farming was literally the Potato of GTA everything else was sooooooo much better.

Sorry for jumping in the conversation but i have to ask.

Has anyone noticed anything new in fs22 (not talking about machines)? Looks like you can have a better experience with existing mods for fs19 already... and POM is not a new feature...2D ground is still 2D and will always be 2D. Will the tractors still behave like vehicles in 1999's arcade game? Cartoon physics and graphics?

Did FS series become just another moneygrab? As it seems with every new version all that is new is done by modders. Giants aren't even trying anymore...bet they put more resources in making that trailer than the new version of the game...

Rant over.

Well, the game is getting revealed in just over a week's time so time will tell.

Wasn't aware GIANTS was a charity organization. They're a business ran with the express intention of making money, so not sure why them running the company as a business is shocking.
