About animals and seasons

Post by Paco_86 »

Hello! I've got some questions about animals and seasons:
1) When the sheeps produce wool?
2) If I buy pigs at the start of my game, when it will be ready for sell?
3) Meat animals (beef, chicken, sheep) when are they ready for sell? (If I buy st start).
4) What animal is the best for start a game with seasons?
Thanks in advance

Is a good guide, but it can't answer the question about chickens

Well I had a nice post that vanished into the internet nether...
Sheep produce wool somewhere between spring and summer.
Sell @280lbs otherwise your throwing food away
Beef is around 1,000. At least for us chickens are at 8 weeks or something (forget currently)
Loaded question. Map, preplaced pens, feed availability, space, land, capital, debt, preferences, seasons vs not, etc all play in. A high debt load and dairy cattle = bankruptcy as they take most of a year to calve and make money, beef isn’t much better. Horses make money instantly yet need ridden (and apparently horse helper mods eat up the livery income with seasons). I think you get the idea.

Beef is 1200-1400 lbs not 1000. You need to read the blog all your questions are in there.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

I just know it’s more than I want stepped on by.
And for us (minis as they are called now, or original sized Herefords) 1,000lbs would be quite the bull.

You actually would be docked by the packaging plant for bringing too light. Out buyer wouldn't even buy them from you that light. Also nice cover when the op is talking in game with seasons.

Nice cover...?
Edit: I’m not even going to get into this and waste my time on an internet argument that will end in a draw or stalemate.

And have a great day. :smileynew:

The cornish cross which is the fastest growing one should be sold when it is around 10-11 lbs or 5 kg. Remember though it does not become older than 0.25 years so need to sell before that in any case.
