Quite often when I edit the XML to create a substantial loan beyond the limit, I run into problems when I try to start paying it back.
Example:
Start a game, save, exit out. Edit the farms XML for a $2M loan. When I go in game, after making said purchases, and hit the repay ($5k) button it will put me very far into the negative and take all the money down to the predetermined loan limit.
Am I missing something here or do I need to "pay" it off by editing the XML?

Re: Editing The XML For Loans
Indeed if you go over the maximum loan you can take out when editing, it throws off the calculation when you repay in the game.
My "fix" is to set my loan to 10% of what I actually owe, then up the interest rate by a factor of 10. Then I edit out the amount of cash / reset the loan usually when I am done playing for the day.

I just Max the loan out and then use Easy Dev to add enough money to buy whatever and then remove that amount. And if anything it’s realistic as the game (I’m running seasons) has a stupid high interest rate.
