Anything planted with a row crop planter is a row crop. In this game, corn, potatoes, beets, and soybeans (if planted with a planter) are the default ones. I guess you could include poplars too but I've never messed with those.

Maybe I misunderstood the question.

So the seeders and planters do it differently? Because when I plant corn for example, there are no rows to drive between. I want to drive my row crop tractor between the rows to fertilize. What I end up with is destroyed crops unless I use narrow tires. But even then, there are no actual rows. It just drives over them.

The game doesn't make row crops perfect. With game mechanics you have to have narrows on to not have crop destruction, unless you turn off crop destruction. Corn is definitely a row crop.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

So there isn't a difference between using a planter instead of a seeder for something like soybeans?

That's correct. There are no "rows" in-game. And there is no difference in soybeans planted with a planter or drilled with a seeder.

You can drive all over the potatoes too. It doesn't matter as long as you either have narrow tires or turn crop destruction off.

I just make sure it makes sense in my head for what realism I'm going for.

They really need to fix that in the next game. Row crops without the rows. Thought I was doing something wrong this whole time.

But, Chedly... now, I don't know your inside source of course. But, "FS22 is Game Changing" is coming from the same people that stated "Farm Like NEVER Before" with FS19.

Sunflowers.

Technically anything put in with a drill or planter is rows, just some are really narrow.

They asked specifically for row crops, and saying drilled in soybeans are a row crop is like saying setting your laptop on the desk makes it a desktop
