I can see rice coming just for the fact that we got sugar cane already, they are common crops in similar areas, and there’s a fair amount of mods floating around in the hub already set up for rice so it seems to have at least some popularity. I also think it encompasses some interesting tasks that could make for some cool features. Also alfalfa because they already somehow missed a fantastic crop/brand paring with the Claas dlc and it’s something that seems pretty common to still be left out.

And it doesn’t require any special equipment, so definitely a possibility of it being the “doesn’t need any special equipment crop” for FS22, while something like Rice (actually hope for this idea now, but doubtful as we have a Midwest map, but we got Cotton in a beach town...) would be a fun “specialty/special machines crop”


But we all know the most important question, will the machine selection/status indicator stay in the top left, be in the bottom right, or somewhere else? We have to ask the important questions

Also AJFarmer is hitting the nail on the head with used equipment and maintenance.

Maybe not does, but definitely should affect it.
Some other stuff related:
Soil mining, you can wreck the soil taking crops off without fertilizer (we have 2 hay fields that were cut once a year like that for years)
Ph affects weed growth.
Activities affect weed growth (ie cutting hay once a year means weeds become problematic fast, but you start cutting it and weeds are beat back in a few years)

Farming Simulator was never in the simulation genre, despite the name "simulator" in the title. It's clearly never intended to be a simulator and the direction should be clear by now after 12/13 years. It's a fun tractor driving sandbox game.

I highly doubt Fs22 would do very well if it was like Ca++le and Crops for realism as most causal players (most of the player base) would immediately be overwhelmed.

The helper system really needs some work/changes, the base game helpers are terrible and have barely changed since FS13. Don't really care much about factories either especially if the pallet physics stay the way they are now.
