Have they mentioned any new farming features yet? I'm well out of the loop.

Courseplay pretty much will work fields how it's done in real life, Are we to expect this kind of realism in 22 ????

Do we know or does Giants know?? I use a lot of AI and Courseplay and follow me.

Are these going to come along soon after launch??
This might sound insulting to giants but I don't think they know how to program ai. They would need to hire people I think. Also maybe a biologist because people normally have limbs.

Hahahahahaha well you ain't far off the truth really, The AI workers are and have nearly always been terrible and it's only the likes of Courseplay and Follow me that actually made the game a bit more worthwhile playing for me. I never understood how Giants could get away with such lazy programming on the AI workers when a mod such as Courseplay can be made to work so well.

In my opinion the colors and textures etc...are not my priority of details that need to be changed for a immersive experience, and you know what the say about opinions

I would like more gameplay aspects like
1. More load on vehicles when working especially if underpowered
2. Equipment randomly breaking down if you do not regularly maintenance
3. Equipment in maintenance take time to complete
4. Option to purchase used equipment (higher chance of breakdown, longer maintenance time, increased fuel usage, less HP)
5. High hour equipment consumes and has less HP, consumes more fuel increased chance of breakdown
5. Older model equipment to choose from (some of the above features could be implemented)
6. More visual wear on equipment
7. Farmers working in the fields you don't own. (even drive down the roads in there tractors)
8. More hired worker variation (clothes, shapes etc..)
9. Hire workers for set amount of time. (hourly, seasonal or yearly effects cost of new hire)
10. Hired workers skilled at certain rolls like maintenance for #2 or harvesting etc..(effects fuel, speed and maintenance)
11. Single silos should only be able to store one crop type (change when empty)
12. More random sounds with random location spawning (some not all)
13. More random traffic spahn intervals and visual variation( some roads could only have 1 car a day drive down)
14. Ultra realistic game play mode(crop prices, land prices, loans etc...)
15. All of the above can be turned on or off and tweaked in settings at your time of choosing
16. Better physics for pallets and bails.( a must)
17. Better AI
Edit: I forgot the most simple of all. Doors that open on placeables

I believe the above would not affect performance and should be easy to implement other then #7
I know there are mods for some of these but having in base game would be nice.

I have to agree the general consensus about the productions, It kills immersion for me dumping 25000l of wheat at the small local bakery. However as a map maker I could see using this feature on a map by having you sell to a larger operation, while not farming do to seasons. Having the option to take over operations at said plant for limited amount of time at your choosing could add to gameplay value. However the physics must and can be fixed for pallets and bails or it will be to frustrating to enjoy.

I also agree the that FS22 is a reskin, But that's not always a bad thing.
It makes it easier for modders to port there mods to new version and in the end FS would have died a long time ago if not for the modders.

Lol. But there is a slight point made about the validity of some “factories” eg. butchers.
I'm guessing the one factory/production we will not see is butcher/meat processing. And don't get your hopes up for being able to produce your own barley pops

By this I presume you mean the vanilla ingame placeables so that they can be used more realistically.
Not as simple as just adding the animations because the interior walls etc have to be created so adding to the slot count as you have found with your map.

Texture wise I hope the new BC6/BC7 formats are going to be used as this will help the slot count by lowering the texture file size by at least 30-40% and also increase definition, would also like to see terrain paint/erosion controls back to what they were in previous games.

Nice to hear that the new tutorials are going to be based on Blender, Material UV Array, nodes, separating, skinning, animations etc maybe that will entice a few more people into modding.

The sky looks a lot better in the new shots of their US map released today. I'm interested to see what other cloud and weather effects there are. Hopefully there's a lot more variation. The ground textures look better too. There's no doubt it does look nicer than FS-19. The sideways step FS19 took visually over 17 is perhaps a little foot forward this time.

Oh wow, I do like the screenshots. Different color leaves and way better antialiasing transparency of the leaves. The little gravel road, power poles with wires and the map area looks bigger. I will have my work cut out for me on map port if it's even possible. The clouds are about the same but I know volumetric clouds can eat the best GPU so there fine with me. I do like the new building models.

I am also fine with a trickle of game features on each new version. I plan to play for at least another 40 years and I need something to keep me interested

Do you think we will get new crop types with the new game? If so, what do think they will be?
Join us on the FS Community Trader. As featured on MrSealyP's Lukahs Island let's play.

Please forgive me, I am but a lowly console player (XB1)

Really hope rice and milo will be part of the base game and not have to wait for a modder to make a map with these crops.

If we're talking major crop additions then I'd be willing to bet that grapes will come before anything like rice. But it will be hard to make such crops interesting enough without making it feel too much like work for more casual players. Sugarcane and poplar were hardly a big selling points.

For something smaller, in terms of not needing specialist equipment, who knows. Anything from spelt to clover to lavender, there are a number of crops they could add to the game without too much effort. Personally I'd like to see linseed as an alternative break crop to OSR/canola.
