Computer requirements

Post by Midwest farmer »

I am looking to buy a new laptop before fs22 releases and I dont want to break the bank on a pc with a nvidia graphics card or anything like that. Does anyone know what would work for less money? Thanks!

Check out cyberpower. They have some nice pre-built ones. I think there is a site rate my pc to help see how it would perform. I paid about 900 for mine back before covid.

How are you planning to play games without a graphics card, or something like that?

Not sure of current pricing or what NVidia has brought out for mobile GPU’s in the last couple years, but GTX 1650, GTX 1650 Super, GTX 1660, GTX 1660 Super, and GTX 1660ti cards are decent performers and prevalent in “budget” gaming laptops, which usually also have a quad core i5 and decent overall quality performance. (Atleast that was a couple years ago when I was PC shopping)
Not sure or current pricing or the size of the bank so can’t say if one of those would work.

He never said he wouldn’t have a GPU just that he didn’t want to break the bank.

He did say that though.
I dont want to break the bank on a pc with a nvidia graphics card or anything like that.
The only other choice is an AMD graphics card, which costs just as much as equivalent Nvidia graphics card.

He said he does not want a PC with an Nvidia graphics card, or anything like that, and you are suggesting that he buys an Nvidia graphics card? I am more confused now.

I read it as he doesn’t want to break the bank with an expensive gaming laptop, most likely thinking of the incredibly expensive flagship cards.

Yes, I am looking to find a pc without an nvidia graphics card, but want a pc good enough to run fs22.

My problem is that farm sim is the only computer games i really pay so I dont want to pay $1000.
I want to stay around like $600

GIANTS minimum requirement for graphics runs roughly $300 for Nvidia or AMD if you were to build. If you don't have a GPU then sadly you'll only be playing Mineweeper and Solitaire.

If you want to spend around $600 you should not be looking at a laptop. But at $600 you will be lucky to get anything that'll play FS at any sort of quality.

For a laptop you have Nvidia, Nvidia, or Nvidia as your options for a dedicated GPU.

I think the AMD G version chips are starting to become available, but I don't think they are cheap.

APU’s? (Bit rusty on hardware models) Those aren’t bad but definitely aren’t great in terms of performance.
