European, Austrailian, South American or North American Maps???

Post by chedly_farms »

I enjoy playing maps from all over the "world". I do have a lot of fun playing European maps as they tend to make me farm differently than I am used to seeing here in the states. So what are your favorite types of maps. Although I am currently playing on what I feel is a real good North American map, I can say I have more enjoyment playing European Maps.

Also, I just noticed Mwal and Lawm are users here with the same letters just reversed of each other. It's kind of creepy.

*edit* I gave some more love to the South American and Austrailians since there are a decent amount of mods/maps for you as well on the Hub.

I prefer American maps as that's what I know from growing up on a farm and now working in the ag industry. I enjoy using American style equipment on bigger fields that take a while to work and harvest.

I have tried a few European maps and I love the buildings and the detail that a lot of them have, but I just never could get into that style of farming and usually would only last a few days before switching back to an American style map.

There’s a story there that resulted in a truce, and that’s all you’ll get out of me

I mostly like North Americans and Europeans maps
However, we need more North American maps (e.g South Mountain Creamery, Oregon Springs 17 etc.) But they probably never gonna come since FS22 coming soon in probably 1 in a half month. :frown:

I prefer North American maps particularly if I have had some dealings in the area or if the map resembles my home area. But I have also enjoyed many European maps as well, particularly BB's FS17 Western Shores.

If I had to pick one, I would pick American as that is what I know and am comfortable with, but I have been playing some UK, German and even Polish maps on a regular basis as well. I'm glad I don't have to pick just one!

I usually play UK maps, but the tiny Polish maps have appeal too.

American who likes US/Ca maps, primarily as I understand methods here, and medium HP (130-250hp) machines are easily realistic for most all uses/farm sizes.

North American, North American.
I'm not a fan of hedges and fences half a foot from the fields.

North American that likes North American And European maps. Like to use both medium and small equipment, and the diversity in the maps keeps it interesting.

North American that likes North American maps, since that's the type of farming I'm used to running. If I could pick a second, I would choose European maps because the layouts provide an extra challenge

Australian here. Maybe because I have a bunch of family in Germany, I spend most of my time on German maps. Also, Australia is a pretty diverse country. None of the Australian maps look remotely where I live. Somewhat ironically, Oakfield is the closest map I've seen to where I live.

I'm hoping for more Polish-villlage-like European maps.

I mostly play German maps, small farms.
I'm what some would call a rivet counter so I want equipment with license plates, speed decals and other things that are authentic to the area where my virtual farm is.
When I'm buying equipment in game I usually look up sites for real farming equipment in that area to see what farmers there use and more often than not there are mods matching what's for sale in the area.
Then I modify it with all the correct regulatory stuff to make it as close to real life as possible.
But that's just me, I like to tinker and modify, I spend equal amount of time in Giants editor as in game it feels like.

European here that prefers maps from Europe generally. One huge exception is lone oak 17 though, which is still by far the map I played the most in any fs version.
