300 hours on a map, then what? Play two maps at once?

Post by chedly_farms »

I've been playing on Griffin Indiana since it's release. I've got over 300 hours on there, plus another 50 or so, before a map update required a new save. I have started itching to find a new or my next map. This is right around when I've starting itching to find new maps on my last few saves. My problem is, I can never play multiple maps. I get so wrapped up in one role play that it almost impossible to get into the other one. So I guess my questions are, typically how many hours do you put into a map before moving on to the next? And can you play two maps at once, or do you find yourself only being able to get caught up in one map at a time?

I thought AJFarmer stated that there wouldn't be the next update. :confusednew:

I have the first ten save slots with current farms in and the next ten for testing things out and looking at new maps, that sort of thing.

I'll do one map for 500 or so hours, jump to another, go 500, go back to the first one for another 500 or so, start a 3rd one and go 500.

That's how I've got 3 maps over 1200 hours, another 2 at a 1000, plus 2 that are over 1700 and our multiplayer map.

I just go till I need a change of scenery, or feel like starting over from nothing. And if I don't like it, then I can jump back to where I was at on one of the others.

AJ orginally released the map, then he released an update that required a new save. I'm not sure what is confusing here.

I think it was a quick read and respond missing the past tense on required. I'm amazed anyone gets to 150 hrs before questioning their map choice. My son asked about getting Lone Oak a week ago but I feel so tied to the default yard on other maps due to slots. Also map file size is a huge factor now that I've been spoiled with Griffin.

Your second point, I cant do 2 maps. Not enough hours in my life for that. Plus 22 is so close and I'm sure your jumping ship, I would just stick it out till that time but it's just me lol

That's us lol especially with our multiplayer server, just messing around till 22 drops.
We all love playing too much just to step away, even if its just over a month now.

Really trying to get used to how hectic 3 day seasons can be.

I Don't expect FS22 to be good from day one. I feel it will take some months to work out all the bugs. I'll let you all be the guinea pigs this time around.

Yeah I saw your post about how many days seasons you've been playing on seasons. I've been getting the itch to go back to using seasons. I bet its chaotic once your up and running. I know it's boring no matter how many days you use starting out but can see how things start dog piling as you get animals and more fields etc. I havent committed to jumping ship.....at least not right away.....too many unused sweet mods for me. Heck 82 is still messing with the 3500 and Julian f modding international being worked on

I’ve been playing the same map for the most part since six months after 19 came out haha. I don’t think I have quite a thousand hours but I’m somewhat close

Another reason I should play on PC. I could see myself getting lost in some of those larger maps. The one map squad farms did an 80s theme series on looked awesome. Griffin is as close to that map as we have on console. You and some other folks screenshots look like farm sim heaven compared to what I can do on ps4
