However, it most likely will not run very fast. So using DLSS or FSR is probably a must to get a decent experience at 8k.
Re: DLSS confirmed for FS22!

There's the confirmation that FS22 has both DLSS and FSR support then. Presumably that also means the consoles have FSR enabled.

Also Xbox Series S only supports 1440p, while the Series X can do 4K.

Sounds good, the challenging part for a computer luddite such as myself will be making it work

I'm in doubt if I buy the fs22 or not because my system is this:

Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-51-72N9 DDR4-SDRAM Notebook (17.3 ") 1920 x 1080 pixels 7th gen Intel® Core ™ i7-7700 hq 8 GB 1256 GB HDD + SSD NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Windows 10.

the ram is the minimum recommended the graphics card is above the minimum recommended but below the recommended. I don't know if I would have a good performance with this setup (running the game at 60fps). i'm not expecting to run the game with the graphics at max but i also didn't want to minimum.
what do you recommend?
thanks.

Decent CPU and decent GPU.
My bet is that you will have 50-60fps at Medium settings on 1080p resolution...or something like that.

If you buy on Steam and you don't like the performance you get then you can request a refund so long as you've played it for less than 2 hours.

Really hope we get a stable 4k 60fps mode on Series x

With multi thread utilisation and FSR this should be achievable

That's normal for the Series S. Renders at 1080p/1440p, can upscale to output at 4K.

It should be 4k @ 30hz on One X and PS4 Pro. Thats what many people are using given how hard it is to find the new consoles.

A performance mode of 1080p @ 60hz would also make sense.

So... it would be nice if we got some info about resolution and frame rate given how many machines this game is launching on.

It will play it very well if not perfectly. That setup meets all the recommended specs for 22 so you needn't worry much. I have a very similar setup and play 19 at custom very high (everything turned up as far as it will go) at 1440p and am very pleased with the output. 22 on paper is slightly more demanding than 19 but not extraordinarily so.

No definitely not. :wink3: I'm assuming you're just being a smart **s if you have a 3090. And I bet the rest of the machine is top notch too if you've got the $$ for a 3090

We also just had confirmation from Giants that the game is capped at 60fps unless you're running in DEV mode. So if anyone has been feeling a little worried about FS22 because all they got in 19 was 60fps, know you know.
I know I was beginning to doubt my system because I was only getting 60fps even on a new map with no equipment, yet I could run SOTR at 144fps. So I'm now happy even though I wasn't going to buy a new graphics card at current prices.
Have been playing FS since FS 2011 came out and still going strong. *thumbsup*
