Engine Upgrades - FS22

I noticed that FS22 treats Tractor engine upgrades differently. Say you want to upgrade the engine 1 level, and that cost is 10,000. The next level is 20,000. In FS19 if you upgraded to level one for 10k, when you went back later to upgrade to level 2 which costs 20k, the cost would be 10k after already upgrading to level one. In other words, you got credit for your previous upgrade. In FS22, it does not work that way, you get no credit for previous engine upgrades, so each upgrade costs the full amount. Is this the intention?

I noticed the same thing today...i think Giants missed this when they were making a game.

So you’re spending 30k for a level 2 upgrade if you only purchased level 1 previously. And you’re saying in FS19 you would only spend 20k to get level 2 regardless of previous upgrades.

It’s very easy to make that extra 10k, so it might be as intended. Or, maybe, FS19 got it wrong.
