FS22 implementation is perfect for those who like a bit of realism, but not too much. I always wanted a semblance of realistic seasonal farming but didn't go anywhere near the mod. It had too many features that I simply did not have the time for. GIANTS almost got it right this time. To many of us FS22 is still just a game. The moment it becomes a chore it loses its allure. I'm sure the mod will be updated in due course to satiate the most demanding players. In fact now with seasons integrated, perhaps it might be even better.

Because you are playing on 9 Day Seasons and not 90 Day Seasons? You are simulating a month that has 30 Days IRL with only 3 Days in-game. It makes sense in that, that day 2 of November isn't going to be November 2nd. In all honesty 9 Day seasons should be more like... Day 1 = Nov. 1 / Day 2 = "around" Nov. 15 / Day 3 = Nov. 30. This would be the FULL month. :hi:

You at least have the right idea but I'd say your math/dates are slightly off. 9 day seasons would equal 3 day months. For sake of easier math, using 30 days per month instead of 28, that would mean each game day would be equal to 10 calendar days. So first date would be Nov 1, then Nov 10, then Nov 20, then Dec 1, etc. With 28 days per month it's actually 9.33333 calendar days per game day

I wasn't doing math with that... I was just saying, 9 Day Seasons = 3 Day Months. 3 Day Months would be... say, November for example with 30 Days IRL. Day 1 = Beginning/1st | Day 2 = Middle/"around" the 15th | Day 3 = End/30th.

You're playing 9 days/month, not 9 days/season.

Personally I love the seasons in 22. The seasons mod is brilliant but I think Giants struck a nice bit of balance and pretty well nailed an all around feature with a bit for everyone. As I was telling my better half, I think this is where the geo mods will come in for 22. I doubt there will be a seasons mod released as the framework for it is already in the game. I think the geo mods will do a lot more than add localized weather and growth patterns. I think different geos may add various functionality depending on the modder. It begs to reason that the initial undertaking will be done by RM as they have the most experience with the mod and I am sure had some input on the base game seasons. Then much like the geo instructions for seasons19, RM will likely release their finished product for other modders to use in their maps and stuff.

I miss the more complex animal side of things and it’ll be a shame if RM don’trelease a version for 22 now there is a basic version of seasons in the base game.

RM seasons provided a reason to choose different types of animals and allows you to buy young animals to fatten up, a process very common irl for smaller scale farmers and small holders.

Also I do miss the grass/hay changes that RM seasons made much more realistic.

You never know maybe a mod will come out after all with an animal update or grass work.

You can buy youn animals in 22 too.....

And @ace54858 : if you read carefully, you will see that it doesn't say how long you want to sleep anymore, but rather when you want to get up/be ready to work again. That's why you can sleep 24 hours if you at 0800 select to sleep til 0800 again
