Disabling auto clutch

When going uphill, the game uses a sort of auto clutch or something, basically the gears are useless. The engine never stalls or cuts off when in too high gear. Is there a way to do it like with the VCA mod? I am playing with keyboard and mouse. Tnx fot any input on this.
