Double Wages for AI?

Is it just me, or are we paying AI helpers double? I set a helper to remove stones and the money number started decreasing... as in the helper being paid? Then at the end of the hour there was an orange note stating paying wages. Well, didnt I pay them when the helper was busy already?
Or am I missing something?

the orange note at the end was just the total of what you had paid them. The money actually paid was taken out as they did the work.

Just back from another hour and actually not only goes the money down when the helper is active, also at the end of the hour the orange amount in top right corner is also deducted from the money I have, so, yes, paying them double! Was this ever the case in FS19 and I just didnt notice this AI helper scam?

In 19, it would go down whether using the helper then the orange note would appear to show how much you paid them in total. It wouldn't deduct that amount again.

lol never knew this i thought it was active wage by the second, and a hourly wage ontop of that.

ok I am gonna have to double down and pay closer attention cause I have used the workers on my fields while I was in my orchard and it didn't take it out twice.. I will get back to you with my results shortly. But as Illinois Farmer said, it did not charge twice in 19 so if it is now, I assume its a bug. I don't normally use workers but I am trying to get in the habit now as I want a big american farm and I wont be able to keep up on my own.

It does seem like you are paying more for the helper. Did a few contracts and the money was going down fast

Giants could ease the confusion by deducting the money when the AI is done.
Seems kind of silly that in FS universe, the farm owner follows the worker, continuously handing him money.

I guess it was done that way to avoid a pyramid scheme of hiring AI helpers to feed income for more AI helpers with money that you don't have.

I personally don't mind the current system. As far as I could tell it deducts 1 eur/s and then every so often you'll get the total paid in orange ; makes sense to me.

Just stumbled across this thread while searching for ways to reduce worker wages..Is it me or are we paying an insane amount of money for workers? (who are still stuff!)

that's what I thought too... but on FS22 it still is deducting while AI helper active, then again at end of every hour. Might it be because I installed on my D drive? My C drive is full, will only get a new PC next year or so... been having lots of issues with my mods too ugh

Thanks for mentioning that mod, I had yet to see it. I've edited the file a little and I now have an hourly rate of roughly 20 [currency] per hour, much more appealing.

Yes I have mine set to around $30 per hour. I buy them lunch because of all the money I'm saving.
