Logging Question

Post by deerefarm »

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I did a search for logging and all the results were for FS19... Is there anywhere on the two new maps Elmcreek and Haut Bayleron where we can do logging? I drove around the two new maps and all I could find we regular trees and not pines or things we can use for logging? Am I missing something? Do we have to plant loggable trees from scratch now?
Have been playing FS since FS 2011 came out and still going strong. *thumbsup*

Could be the same as Ravenport and Felsbrun and have none. Did you check the area around the saw mill on Elm Creek? I know that land is pretty expensive to buy

I had a quick look at the area and walked around the sawmill in summer. Couldn't see any pines. Now that it's winter and the leaves are gone, and after reading your post, I double checked and there is a forest of pines a little way up the trail to the NW. Thanks for the tip. *thumbsup*
I'm not sure I'm going to like logging anymore than I did in 19, but do need some wood to try out the Sawmill and Furniture production chain.

PS Just found it on Haut Bayleron - Just to the east of Field 47 is one area, and the other area is north of the biomass heating plant.

Whilst on the subject of logging, has the log grapple strengths been improved on in 22? 17 was a struggle to get more than a couple in the grab.
