Wheel Joystick an option for Xbox?

I am new to the FS scene and I'm addicted. Ive been using the Xbox controller and I get by but but I think it would be more fun with a wheel and joystick (for loader). I ordered a wheel but was wondering if I would even be able to use a wheel joystick combo and not use the xbox controller. Again sorry for my ignorance but I am new to this. Really frustrates me that console users cannot change key bindings.

I’ve tried using the the G920 with a thrustmaster HOTAS one but it didn’t register the joystick at all. Currently the G920 is pretty much useless on FS22 as the paddles don’t work (which act as RB + LB) and they are needed for a lot of functions. (It has been reported to Giants as a bug).

As it stands I’d just wait to see if a patch is released to fix the problem, otherwise don’t waste your money.
