Placeable manure pit ?

Has anyone managed to figure out how to get manure? Is there a certain spot the pit has to be placed? This has been frustrating me all day!

You need to use the manure pit extension from the silo extensions menu, not the normal silos. I believe it has decent range because I have two pig pens and one cow barn feeding into one central manure pit

Thank you! I didn't even look in extensions... I was looking at the one in Silos! Will I get both manure and slurry? Or is it one or the other like previous?

Do you need to have both a manure pit and a manure pit extension (the in-game tool tip wording states the extension must be placed near a "silo" - says nothing about another manure pit or animal enclosure)?

As Giants did not provide any "multifruit" silos that can hold manure and/or slurry, I'm guessing that they've done their usual lazy translation job without running it past a native English speaker ... and that they actually mean "animal pen or primary manure/slurry pit"? Has anyone done a full set of tests on this yet?

It's no wonder the "yoofs" of today are so commonly semi-literate when even video game devs cannot write full instructions into their in-game help files.
