It's called a Hay loft. It's real. So is a dedicated barn or building for bales. Older American barns have a feature on them that allowed you to hook up and lift hay or other items into the loft of the barn. I dont know too much about storing loose straw or hay as I've never seen that before but storing baled hay in the loft was very common.

Right that's what I thought too storing bales only. Where I grew up the lose straw and hay was stacked on the side of the field. I guess my question would be if farmers use this blower to transfer lose straw up in the loft or this is just made up in game for easy handling.

The reason I ask is because I try to not cheat.

I wasn't sure until I watched this Youtuber doing the exact same thing storing loose hay.

Hay, yes. Straw, eh... Not sure.

In the US, this is similar to the big blue Harvestore silos. You use a blower to put hay and/or silage in them and feed directly to the cows in the barn. I REALLY wish we'd get a Harvestore mod.

Back in the day loose straw was common to store in bank barns. People would shock the wheat in the field then thrash them and pick up the loose straw and store. It took many years later to get the first stationary baler.

There’s a dude on YouTube that has a small scale farm in Slovenia that’s pretty popular. He actually has one of those, That store’s loose straw that he uses.
