FS22 - Plough with Roller?

Hi,

I've been trying the ploughs with the attached rollers, and it seems when the roller runs over the ploughed area it rests it back to a neutral state (deleting the "ploughed" state, but clearing the "needs plowing" state).

What is the point of them?

The roller seems to set the state to "seedbed" but as we know, this only does anything after planting and not before.

as I understand it, its about realism.. after you plow it will smooth out the soil and push nonsense back into the soil like rocks and you will have a nice seedbed to plant into. from what I understand, rolling before does nothing in game (correct me if I am wrong someone) but irl its common practice. Some farmers also think that it shouldn't give a bonus for rolling but rather a penalty for not as irl its regular field work depending on where you are and what you grow.
